“Will definely come back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012

My family of 4 stayed here for 2 nights - superior room at the lower floor as it was the only room available at the time we booked. We asked to be picked up at the airport (van for 3k), and upon entering the van, the driver offered us bottled water and some cashew nuts. We then asked him to wait for us while we had a quick lunch. The drive was long and very bumpy especially during the last few meters, but after reading the reviews here, we were already prepared for it. We were just expecting the "ferrari ride" as what the other reviewers said, but instead, we had to transfer vans at the last few meters, as the road was being repaired and was really muddy. Upon reaching the resort, we were quickly transferred to our room. We had 2 single beds plus 2 extra beds, and still some space to walk around. Soon after, we were served welcome drinks and some "cold towels" to help freshen up. Really nice touch! :)

The resort though is for those wanting to just relax, watch the waves, and do nothing. There is not much to offer in terms of water sports, etc, but we truly enjoyed our short stay just taking dips at their pool and at the beach alternately. The place was so quiet that you can just count the number of people/guests in the area. I just had a concern with regards to our underground river tour. When we were still booking, I was made to understand that since the resort was very near the river and that we booked early, then we can get the earliest slots in the tour. A couple of days before our trip though, I was advised that our schedule was at 12:30pm. I had no problems with that, but we still preferred the earliest schedule and so I asked why it was very late already. I was then told that they will try to move our schedule to an earlier slot. On the day of our arrival, I was told that we were moved to the 930am slot. However, on the day of the tour itself, as we were already waiting at the lobby for the guide, they told us that the guide would be late. We waited for a few minutes, then half an hour, and so on. To cut the long story short, we ended up taking our tour at 12:30pm. Oh well...

We didn't let that spoil our trip though. We still enjoyed ourselves, and had all our meals at their restaurant. The plating of their food was superb, and I just have to commend one of their staff, Wilbert, who just gave the best service ever. One regret we just had was when it drizzled a bit on our last night. We had requested our last dinner there to be by the beach, and early in the afternoon, we already saw Wilbert setting up the table and making the place really nice and romantic, with all the lights and decor around. Unfortunately though, when we were ready to have our dinner, it began to drizzle. It just broke our hearts that Wilbert had to transfer everything back to the restaurant, and remove all the decor that he beautifully set up. And, he still served us our dinner at the restaurant with the best attitude ever.

Overall, we had an excellent time in Daluyon and we wished we could stay longer. It is really the best in Sabang :)

only stayed here 2 nights as its very near the UGR but wished it was much longer. Stayed on upper floor in superior room which is the best choice looking over the sea, what a great way to wake up early looking over the balcony & listen to the soft breaking waves.
The road from Puerto Princesa was very windy & its easy to get car sick if your prone to this problem, but worse is the last 200 mtrs going into Sabang, it was a mud hole, you wouldnt know what was at the end of this road unless you were being driven.Very happy to arrive at this beautiful resort. Dinning there is the best choice because looking around at the other local choices, there is nothing to compare.Bed very comfortable & roomy, just the usual complaint about no hot water because there was not much sun & the solar heating was usless.Just be prepared to go cold dipping.Pool was just ok, a bit run down but acceptable, could do with a makeover. Staff were excellent, will do anything for you. Theres no jug for heating water in the room but just phone & its there in 5 minutes in a sealed container. Loved going for walks along the beach, so close, hard to resist, this place is my first & last choice

We stayed here 8 days. It's a good place to relax especially the upper floors. The bed were big and they maintain the cleanliness of the room. Their hot shower is also working and have mini fridge with foods and drinks( because in Sabang the stores were far from the resort so if you want just to eat some flakes or chocolates and drink canned juices and beer they provide it in your room ) the reception of the tele was not that good sometimes. The wifi is bit slow. They serves good food and breakfast. Beachfront resort, the beach is so wavy!!!! Not white sand but still it's clean beach, not too salty. Good to walk in Sabang beach especially exploring the rocky part of the beach. Near in Sheridan resort so we go there for dinner. The next time I'm here, I'll stay in DAluyon again. The fare from puerto princess to Sabang is 300pesos in Lexus transport found inside the Go Hotels near Robinsons Mall. Going back to puerto princess thru Lexus is cheaper about 250 pesos to 300 pesos. But from Sabang to elnido it costs about 900 pesos and just bargain for 800 pesos the travel time is 5 1/2 hours!!! Puerto to Sabang is2 hours. So planned everything before go to Palawan!!!!

I loved the place and everything it had to offer. We got a superior room and it was really spacious with a super comfy king sized bed. Water pressure and air conditioning worked pretty well, the size of the bathroom could have been a bit bigger but don't get me wrong, it is of a pretty decent size. The view was simply amazing! Be sure to request for the top floor so you'll be able to appreciate the surroundings even more. Food was good enough and reasonably priced in my opinion. Front desk and the staff were friendly and ready to assist. The only setback that the place had was the concrete surface of their swimming pool instead of it being tiled. It looked really nice aesthetically since it was in a deep shade of blue just like the ocean but the flooring was rough and it resembled having the spikes from the durian fruit. My husband even scraped his knuckles while swimming and had scars as a remembrance of the incident. Nevertheless we still loved the place and couldn't stop raving about our stay there even days after. We will surely be staying there again if ever we go back to that part of Palawan.

Room Tip: request for the top floor

We were two couples and stayed at this resort for four nights. My sister and her hubby had the top room and we had the bottom. They had a great view of the beach while ours was not as good. So get that top floor for the view. The rooms were quite big and the bathroom was a good size. This is an Eco resort so they have solar hot water which ran out due to cloudy weather. The breakfast was good although at first we had a fixed breakfast then they decided to make it buffet style which was fine. We ate in the restaurant three times for dinner and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The desserts were marvellous. I had booked direct through the resort and requested help with booking the Underground River as you cannot book this tour at the office there anymore.. At first they declined help and when I pointed out that they state on their website that they will ASSIST you to get permits they then told me to book the tours through GoPalwan travel at a ridiculous price considering that we did not require transport from PP. After much mucking around we did get our permits. Many thanks to Clifford for doing this for us. And at a more realistic price. Like 700PHP not 1400PHP.I would recommend the zipline and the mangrove paddleboat trips also. They are building more octagonal bungalows at present. Wifi is on and off. Staff in the restaurant were very good. Overall I would stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a top floor room in the bungalows.

3 nights at daluyon, 29 sept to 2 oct.... cant believe last comments from hong kong about old rooms and overpriced, but some just dont get a green resort concept with direct beachfront amenity. Octagonal shaped cabana style rooms have wonderful blue ocean views, with easy access to white sandy beach, pool and restaurant. Comparable places with thoughtful relaxing style and design are hard to find.... a change from the usual beach hotels..... just relax and appreciate the filipino service culture that comes with easy friendly smiles, that make you feel happy to be there. The restaurant staff even laughed at my bad jokes and the food is good, although i had to teach then how to cook eggs "over easy"... hey, just some free lessons.!!!
Juice bar at the beach, the lifesaving tower under the coconut trees, the "need service"
flag and the attentive no stress staff all remind you are in a special place.. this is not 5 star so if you travel in big asian groups, or cant survive without wifi at dinner this is not for you.

Our 3 days was great, any longer you might stretching it, the clean ocean water, surf and scenery was magnificent but the smiles, accomodation and service made our stay very enjoyable.

Room Tip: all good...
