“Early Christian Remains in Inishowen”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

On the main road in Carndonagh, Donegal, you will find St. Patrick's High Cross, or St. Donagh's Cross, as it is also known. Carn is approx 12 miles north of Buncrana, on the way to Malin Head, the most northerly part of Ireland.

The Cross, which is thought to date from the 7th century, is located on the grounds of a church founded by St. Patrick. It is considered one of the most important early christian remains in all of Britian and Ireland.
