“Good food, good service, great night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

My family descended on the Bell on a Saturday night to celebrate my dads 60th birthday. The restaurant allowed us to decorate the table with birthday paraphernalia (and we went to town with it) and bring in our own cake too, which my dad loved. The food was really good value, and everyone enjoyed every course. The drinks were a tad on the expensive side, especially as most of us were drinking soft drinks, but there was a good range. The service was good and our waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. We all enjoyed the night and would go back again.

“Sunday Lunch!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

this place has had a facelift since I last visited and although not the cheapest place to eat the quality and service are superb and very popular on a Sunday!

Have been here a few times now and always happy with the food and service. Sunday roast is also delicious. The pub is lovely inside.

“Would not recommend the Bell for Sunday lunch”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Have just got back from one of the most over rated meals we have had in years. We had the Sunday platter, the beef was tough the whole meal was not very warm. For half the cost we could have gone to the local carvery for a better meal. It will be a long time before we go back as there is such a large choice of much better restuarants in the area.

“3 Great tasty courses!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

Met with friends here for Bank Holiday lunch after receiving a special offer menu by email when we signed up on their website. Excellent food with prompt and polite service. The choice was good and 3 courses for £17.95 on the promotion menu proved to be good value. On our previous winter time visit there has been a roaring log fire in the upper dining area. Great rustic/homely interior, but a little scruffy at the entrance from the carpark. Easy to miss as you drive along the road as the carpark is at the rear. Definitley worth trying for any occasion.
