Back for a second honeymoon after 20 years. A little nervous after reading some negative reviews. The place was not a disappointment! A recent renovation was done beautifully. The restaurant, pool area, spa, and rooms were very tastefully done. The staff was very helpful and immediately upgraded us to a suite upon arrival. Will definitely plan a return trip!
....and BTW....to all of you who complained about mosquito's....bring some repellent!!...it's a tropical island!

This is a very nice rustic St. Barth hotel. You are secluded and at the same time 5 minutes away from Gustavia and St. Jean. We will be back soon, cant wait.

The views are stunning from our island colonial style bungalow. The poster bed with netting fit in with the carved wooden armoire, chests and rattan seating. Balcony opened to give us soothing sea sounds all night- this side of the island has surf! No internet access from our room, so the reception area or pool/ restaurant were the place to connect. But hey- we're here to get away, right? Service is pleasant and eager to please, however it's not a place that sets store in details... One must buy any potable water, and lotions or conditioners are not offered. Towels and light bulbs are replaced sporadically, so it's useful to keep one's temper and be patient. It's a long and rather dangerous walk to town, and taxis are often hard to find, so either arrange for a driver, or rent a car. The beach is mostly coral, so bring surf shoes.

Room Tip: The older colonial style rooms have more charm, but they may be a longer walk from the beach. The b...

We just stayed there in mid December for one week, and it was a wondereful experience. At first when I read all the review on tripadvisor and other websites, I was really worried about my husband's choice eventhough I know everything is expensive in St. Barts and paying 400 US a night wont get us too far.. Once we arrived, I was pleasantly supprised that all the reviewed I read probably based on pre renovation (they probably just started a year ago?) The bathroom is brand new, four poles bed with mosquito net all fresh, and all nice wooden furniture. Everthing is super clean which is the most important thing to me since we have a baby with us. The only bad things about the place is there are no coffee maker in the room, and the TV only has French channels.

Had a wonderful vacation here, we had a "euro" plan; traveled with another couple and each had our own suites right on the beach, this was THE BEST part! Each morning we enjoyed walks on the beach and all of the sea glass that was washing up; the pool was nice and a later dinner a couple of nights by the pool was wonderful; Hubby and I also used the spa, enjoyed great massages, and I went back for a leg and foot massage, also enjoyed the splendid products they offered for sale which I fell in love with and bought "Payot" have been hooked ever since; the staff was very professional and kind, the rooms were impecabbly clean, overall had a very relaxing experience and enjoyed the stay very much!

Room Tip: Get suites on the beach! the only way to go!
