I already miss the monkeys! We stayed in the original Casa Bambu house which had terrific views from every room and porch, even the kitchen. There are not many places where you can dice a tomato, look up, and watch a surfer catch a wave. Even the bedroom faced the waves. That was my favorite part. The wildlife viewing from the house was outstanding, especially the monkey highway from the side of the house. Although, at times, we were surrounded by them. It was monkey mania at its best! You just can't beat sitting on a porch with rolling waves in front of you and to the side a monkey guzzling a coconut.
In all, we loved out visit. The location of the house was ideal and I got one of the longest rides of my life surfing right in front of the house. More challenging surf, which my husband loves, was close by, even walkable. Also nice was the use of kayaks during a lull in the swell. I am sure we will stay there again if we return to Matapalo.
