“3 G's-Gorgeous Generous Gerry's Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

Love Love Love what Andrea & crew have done with the Wallace Hotel. The decor and ambience is eclectically appealing from chandeliers to plaster deer-heads, leather couches to roaring fire. The outside garden area, although work in progress, is shaping up to be THE PLACE when weather gets warmer. The girls performing on a Sunday were as mellow as the local reds. The food was generously piled high on the plates. Honest pub grub with clean flavours and prices that reflect the commitment to build a local and regional supporter base. The calamari and bangers and mash were just the ticket for a relaxed and long lunch. Gerry's Room is worth the drive from where-ever you are!

There is nothing in the tiny country town of Wallace near Ballarat but the local hotel was pumping. It is obviously a destination hotel and for good reason. The food is fantastic and the ambience and vibe were great. This is largely due to the eclectic decor, so many interesting decorative pieces in an old renovated pub. Massive fire places, beautiful old brickwork and pressed ceilings. Just so much character and style...The beer garden was also lovely with flowers and ornamental trees. Our group had the best afternoon kicking back over a long leisurely lunch, listening to the live acoustic music. This place will only get more busy as word of mouth spreads.
