“Relaxing Saturday lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Pretty pub with lovely gardens. Quiet for Saturday lunchtime. Good varied menu and specials. Great selection of good beers. Clean loos - always a good indicator of hygiene. Will be back.

“Great Pub, Good Food, Crackin Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2013

The real Ales in Pollards are a delight and the Chefs go out of their way to deliver a varied menu.
We have eaten at Pollards on numerous occasions and its the only place in the CH post code that offers great value for money combined with all of the attributes listed in the title of this review.
Go and Enjoy

“Sunday lunch recommended”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Ate here for Sunday lunch with family and extended family, very reasonably priced. Have been here many times, consistently great food, well presented, dining is in conservatory area with doors out to beer garden and play area for kids, in a lovely village.

“Very nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Went early evening with two small kiddies, enjoyed play area and nice drinks outside, however moved inside for main meal to avoid the rather lively wasps outside. Nice meals well presented by friendly but not intrusive staff. Seemed to be plenty of staff on which was good. Kids meals of lamb burgers were better than some kids fayre. My ham with duck egg was nice and the mussels starter was very tasty. Too full for puds.

“Upmarket Pub Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

Very nice setting in the village of Willaston on the Wirral. Lovely gardens & a very good play area for the children. The bar has a good range of cask real ales. The menu is very good with specials on the blackboard. I went with my wife & in-laws & it was very busy for a wednesday night. The starters were ravioli, pate & Thai Fish Cakes, all of which were very good. For mains we had sirloin steak, seafood pie & indonesian noodles with prawns in lemon grass, all of which were excellent & I would highly recommend the noodles. A very nice setting, surroundings & ambience plus the service was very good considering how busy it was. We would definitely return.
