“Year around fun”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

I have visited Mount Washington throughout the year and enjoy all the activities it has to offer. In the winter, there is excellent down hill and nordic skiing as well as snow shoeing. There are 81 down hill runs with several high speed chair lifts. In the summer there is a great down hill mountain bike park with bike and body armour rentals as well as frisbee golf, chair lift rides and excellent alpine hiking trails. You can view the ocean from the top of the mountain and driving down the mountain on the paved and well-maintained road. It is located 30 minutes from Courtenay and 45 minutes from Campbell River.

“Good but could be great...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 21, 2013 via mobile

Great snow on this mountain, but the mountain really suffers from not having an alpine village. If they could get a hotel, some shops and a couple of restaurants into a village the world would beat a path to the door.

“Let It Snow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

We love our times up on Mount Washington, either with friends or as a couple. The staff at the Log are always smiling and friendly, the food is always good and beer is always cold.. Night skiing is amazing, tubing is always a blast. Dont forget to check out Raven Lodge and spend a day snow shoeing through the meadows ~ amazing experience, easy and fun. Second week in January is half price lift tickets too ~ Summer is a wonderful time to check out the mountain as well, the meadows are buzzing with birds to bugs and budding flowers. The walk to McKenzie lake is worth every step. There are many lodging places and an excellent B&B.

“Super day!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

Visited in jan 2011, not 2013 as the ad says...

We drove to mt.Washington during a trip out west from my relative's house- so no hotel review here... at the time they had record snowfall and the drive up to the ski hill was awesome- twisty, turny, snowy, snowy, snowy.
So excited about the conditions, we got on the hill fast. There mid-week so no lineups at all. Fair price for lift tickets. Conditions were amazing. No issues with anything, except when the fog rolled in the one chair should have been closed off! If you knew the hill you're fine, but when you can't see 30ft in front of you it's scary, even for seasoned boarders as we were. We went up that chair because the line had gotten long at the other one, but once half way up the mountain we realized why. We had to sit down and wait 3 or 4 times coming down the run to follow people because the fog was SO thick we couldn't make out whether we were heading towards a black diamond or green circle run- we jsut followed the majority of people where they were going figuring that was the safest thing to do! Stuck to the lower chair after that-
Ate in the restaurant on site- pub food and beer- was nothing special but good. My bf rented a board for the day- no problems there and all burton boards (if i remember correctly- some big name brand anyways) he loved the board...

Excellent Day! (mayb e check the forecast to see if fog is coming though!)
