“Sirena's bartender”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Sally was a great bartender, friendly fun, courteous, and very efficient . The hotel has a nice pool area, beautiful beaches and plenty of chairs for all the guests. Service is always friendly. Casino was nice also. Beds are really comfortable.

A very short trip from the airport (5 min.) this hotel is on the very nice and very clean Isla Verde beach away from the crazy tourist of the main beach in San Juan. The pool with swim up bar and outdoor dining area are steps away from the beach. Breakfast, Lunch and dinner are well done with plenty of Puerto Rican foods to pick from, and dinner under the stars on the beach is great!. The indoor bar area and live local music and area to dance is super. The casino is small with plenty of all the machines you want. Plenty of indoor parking for $15. per day when you park yourself. The staff is really nice and willing to help all the time. The rooms are clean and well taken care of and quiet even with the airport being near by. This was my 3rd time at this hotel and it will not be my last.

Room Tip: Oceanside is always your best pick if you want a view, but all the rooms are nice.

We stayed 2 nights in San Juan, chose Isla Verde, before heading on a cruise this year. I must say, we really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very nice, the accommodations were also nice and the hotel had a lot of fun and attractive activities. One thing I must mention is cost! I can't imagine how much more it would have been staying at the other Marriott or the Sheraton or Four Seasons or Ritz (well, they have their suites at $1,600 per night with their own private pools) and so, we were just astonished by how the prices are for everything. I guess, on a cost-value proportion, it is our opinion it was a bit too pricey for the value of the place. But, in general, our stay was great. The amacas by the beach are just awesome and their Latin/Salsa parties looked like a lot of fun!

Room Tip: If you want an ocean view, prepare to pay more. We had to pay $60/night extra!

I stayed here on business for a couple evenings and they were very accomodating to my needs. A business associate and I ate at the restaurant for dinner and both the hostess (Coraldel Mar) and the waitress (Lyzmar) were very gracious and friendly. Even after we finished and paid our bill and stayed to discuss business they stopped by our table and talked to us and made sure were were very satisfied and did not need anything.
The hotel was very clean. The gentlemaen out front made arrangments for our transprtation each time and they too were very good. The front desk was friendly and when i made a special request she smiled and said that would not be a problem.
I plan to stay there again very soon.

This Courtyard hotel facility is an absolute "jewell" !!! A fellow traveler on a flight told me that the Courtyard Isla Verde Beach Resort is probably the most unique Courtyard hotel facility-and-probably the best kept secret in the entire Courtyard chain. The beach is literally "steps away" when you get off the elevator. My wife and I needed a "get away" and we were looking for a place where we could "decompress" and (as the Country Music song says...."where my only care in the world is will the tide reach my chair")...well...this is the place ! The hotel is minutes from the airport-has three restaurants-has a casino-and has one of the friendliest hotel staffs you could ever imagine. We will be back !

This is what I'd call a casual resort. It's very close to the airport ( could actually see the airport from our balcony). This was not a problem. It's quiet in the room and never a problem on the beach. The beach is beautiful!!! There's a small casino and several restaurants in the resort. There's a lovely pool (with swim-up bar) and a gym (didn't use it). The room was comfortable and we had a nice view of the beautiful beach from our balcony. Each morning one of us went downstairs and picked up a light breakfast which we enjoyed on the balcony.
Probably the only negative is that there isn't alot within walking distance. We did walk to a couple of restaurants and the Ritz Carlton is a short walk away. Most restaurants and all shopping is a (expensive) cab ride away. That being said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

we booked two rooms for four people with partial sea view ,with a request for twins with a good view of the beach and in a quite level ,i phone the hotel three months before to check if we could have the twin rooms and was told to phone back at later date which i did and was told that they had the request and if twin rooms where available we may have them. when we arrived at the hotel we given twin rooms one on the second floor for my sister and her friend on the first night their was a party in the next room so they got no sleep and they where told the guest where checking out that day , we had a room fourth floor which looked over the dust bins with a small gap at the side to the sea which was a terrible view ,so i went back to reception and asked could we have better room and was told the normal reply the hotel was full . so asked to speak to a manager and was told that she was not available and i would have to wait about half hour .so i sat down and spoke to one of the hotel staff and was told that the lady at the next desk was the assistant manager so i walk over and after a few words we got offered a suite on the fourth floor for an extra $50 plus taxes which for the two nights came to just over $128 and the room was very good except the television in the lounge and the the air con unit where faulty and where changed and repaired the next day . we had some meals at the hotel but i would not use again because of food quality and costs. (also be aware of all the extra taxes they charge)

Room Tip: go high and have a corner room or suite
