I arrived at this hotel really early in the morning and I was put into the "dungeon" as others describe it because it has no windows and let me clarify it is not a dungeon and its far from it its a standard guest room its a bit small good for maybe a 1 night stay no more but its a regular room with a bed, mini frige, tv, night stand and ect.... later that day was put into a better room which was really nice and big with the same things as the other room just bigger and with a window...lol..... The pool was amazing great for tanning they keep this hotel looking very clean at all times I loved that and the rooms were very clean i dont know wat these other people are talking bout for real....

Their guest service skills and this comes from the bottom of my heart are at a 5* hotel quality from the moment I got there i did not at all feel like just another guest from the guys out side at the parking which are awesome they helped me know a little about the night life in the city and told me how to get this spot BRAVA and later that night gave me directions to another post called hollywood to meet with some people.... Rhina always had a smile on her face <3 that... the girl that's on 10th floor in the morning for breakfast super sweet <3 that too and every one else was great too.... at this hotel I felt like they really cared, service is very personalized they are just always in a good mood and ready to help and they are very knowledgeable about the area...

I recommend this hotel and I will most def. be back to stay here.... its good for a 1 night stay, and for even a week stay its very well located walking distance to everything that is good in Isla Verde, breakfast was great I have really nothing bad to say.... THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERY ONE AT THE HOWARD JOHNSON....

Best value for your money. The location is excellent. Staff very courteous and helpful. The internet service is good but the wireless signal quality drops as you go to the end of the room where the desk is. But otherwise if you are in a business trip as I were it is excellent.

I was booked into this hotel by a third party and the room HAD NO WINDOWS! Not only did this feel like being in a dungeon or a prison, but the room was small and cramped. Having checked in late at night and not having the time to argue the point. I immediately checked out the first thing in the morning and made a reservation to the La Concha Renaissance Hotel. Did not partake in the free breakfast and saw no other part of the hotel other than the front desk and the first floor room.

Apparently this was booked for a two-night stay, I tried to cancel the second night, but the hotel suggested I call the agent and the agent suggested I contact the hotel. The hotel was not only lacking in customer service, they did not see this as unusual. Apparently after a less than eight hour stay in this poor definition of a hotel, they still refused to refund the second night, when in all fairness, the entire stay should have been refunded.

Would hate to be in this room if some sort of emergency happened and I don't know how as hotelier, how Howard Johnson can rent out rooms such as this!
