My wife and I had two very enjoyable days at the Molino del Puente in November. Ian and Elaine made us feel very welcome and almost part of their family from the very moment that we arrived. The Molino has been very tastefully renovated with very comfortable and well appointed rooms. The food was outstanding so there was no reason to find a restaurant in the evenings but the hotel is conveniently located 10 minutes drive away from Ronda - a must see place - so alternatives would be available.

Ian and Elaine were most helpful in sorting out any problems that we had and advising us on the local area. The small bar is a very sociable place with locals mingling with guests in an informal setting. Whilst there, we were introduced to one of their good friends, Guy Hunter-Watts, who is a charismatic trekking guide and author of books on walking and small hotels in Andalucia. This resulted in a very entertaining evening.

I would have hesitation in recommending this small charming hotel to anyone seeking a 'special place' to stay near Ronda.

If hiking, swimming, sightseeing, relaxing and fine wining and dining are your idea of a perfect rest then we have found the ideal spot for you! We spent 10 blissful days here in July this year and haven't stopped dreaming about it since.I loved our prestige room and its large bathroom and jacuzzi. The spacious room was simply and tastefully decotrated. We adored the cool hacienda style of the architecture, the pretty gardens and of course the lovely swimming pool. We tried eating elsewhere a few times but quickly concluded that we enjoyed the delicious and varied menu of the hotel restaurant far more. But the very best thing about the Hotel Molino Del Puente is that it doesn't really feel like a hotel at all: Elaine, Ian, their daughters and all the staff quickly make you feel like you're part of the family.
I fell back in love with Andalusia this year. The peaceful natural, setting near Ronda is a far cry from the crowded concreted coast. And our 12 year-old son agrees with us.

On arriving the appearance is deceiving. We were pleasantly surprised and would compliment the hosts on renovating this property in to a delightful, relaxing hotel. We were made to feel that we were their guests and they would do anything to ensure you have a good time. The swimming pool was immaculate. The breakfast was fabulous and the evening meal was excellent.

You would need a car to get back to Ronda for sightseeing as the hotel is about 1 mile down a windy road.

We stayed at the Hotel Molino del Puente, whilst travelling in Andalusia. It is owned by Ian and Elaine and they were efficient from my initial contact and throughout our 2 day stay. We were greeted by name shown to our room and made very welcome. The hotel has been refurbished extremely well; it is comfortable, clean and obviously well managed. The food is excellent not least the breakfast which is varied but includes, what I would call, proper bacon and eggs. We ate in the restaurant both evenings. We had a bottle of cava, chilled and on the house in our room on arrival, which was surprisingly welcome. The hotel is good value and well placed for one of the most beautiful parts of Spain. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to any one who wants the comfort and familiarity of a small well run hotel.

“Great Hosts, Fantastic Chill Out Place”

We needed some chill out time and we couldn't have asked for a better spot. Unfortunately we only had 3 nights at this special place we could easily have stayed for 7.

Each night we had dinner at the in-house restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious, very reasonable, lovely wine, relaxing surroundings. Elaine and Ian, our hosts, made us feel so feel so comfortable, they were friendly, attentive and genuine, not a quality you find in a lot of family run hotels.

These people really enjoy their guests but know when to give them space. I would highly recommend. Am considering returning with my Mother and Aunt in November, although the weather won't be great we know we will have a very warm welcome and a great base to wander around Ronda.
