I had never been to Spain and thanks to the other reviews on Trip Advisor I decided to make a side trip on the way to Granada and visit Ronda. What a great spot, and again thanks to the reviews here on this site, I was lucky enough to stay at a wonderful little b&b in the old section of the city.

It was totally charming and exactly what I had imagined Spain to be. The owner, Anahid was a total delight offering great advice on where to go and what to see not just there in Ronda, but in Granada and other Andalusian spots. She is not originally from Spain as others have noted but is a charming warm person who has lived and travelled throughout Europe, the Middle East and America. I really loved the way she whimsically painted the courtyard.

The inn is small with a delightful courtyard that makes you feel relaxed and glad to be away from it all. Other nice features include the large rooms and nice HOT showers (something that you don't find in alot of b&bs in Spain) as well as the great breakfasts. I will definitely come back to Ronda and to Baraka!

All the family stayed there for two weeks. 4 of us. Great central point for all our visits to the many interesting areas events and buildings in this area. We were all helped by our (land lady she didnt like this term) host and guild. She not only offered us a desired breakfast but information about the immediate area and surrounding areas, times of events and best direction. Her involvement with our stay not only made it easier but ensure we got the best travel directions, times and places to dine. Our stay was certainly enhanced by this contact and we will visit her again. This natural interest in your guests is not typical of past holidays either B&bs or hotels we have had in the past and ensured a relaxed easy and enjoyed time. Her conversation with us all was friendly making us all feel warm and homely in a non native area. I would advise all of you to try the real Ronda and visit Baraka and this lovely lady. I could go on and on about all the places we were directed and advised to but know doubt your own visit will confirm this.

Baraka is the perfect mix of healing retreat and charming energy and life. The owner is a fabulous cook who makes wonderfully fresh breakfasts. It is worth staying for a few days to really get to know the town of Ronda as well as the life that flows from the handpainted walls of the bed and breakfast.
The rooms are spacious, meticulously kept, and have wonderful showers. As you walk into the place there is a beautiful courtyard where breakfast is served, long conversations are had, and the mind feels free to wander. This place is a must see!

After my trip to the Baraka Bed and Breakfast, I was reflecting on the shear beauty and magnificant rooms of Baraka. It is hard to believe that more people don´t know about this place, because when it comes to being comfortable, immersed in culture, and a relaxing environment, Baraka is the place to stay. This B&B is run by a women (Anahid), who is as nice of a person as you will ever find. She helped us plan our trip, told us where to go in Ronda, and even went out with us, when we asked her to join us for dinner. I could not stress enough, that if you are staying in Ronda, that you should definetly stay at Baraka. To look for avalability and pricing go to (----)
