“Beautiful rural hotel with big rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2015

Though it took ages to find a hotel (better check their web before coming) the receptionist Cristina was very friendly and helpful. The room was big and well heated (even a bit too much), the bed comfy and what I liked most - extremly quiet. Breakfast with natural orange juice and scrambled egg was very nice. Rooms need a bit of maintanance though, but you forget those little things, what you remember is a nice garden, building and friendly staff.

Casa Rural, doesnt get much better than this in Spain - that would be an accurate enough statement. The hotel and the surroundings are beautiful, in the middle of olive, lemon and orange trees and vineyards.. great for walks and a good night sleep in silence, it makes you feel food. But, what was better about this hotel was its people, without a doubt receptionist Ana was the best receptionist we have ever seen in our lot of stays around the world: sincere and passionate about what she does and someone who loves people, by nature. Ana also told us about her village, Igualeja - which we went by on our way back and as a coincidence we bumped into her there too- which again she was like seeing a friend with all the warmth. The food was ok, we dined at the hotel for two night, one night was better than other - but it was a decent experince and the waitress lady at the restaurant was also pleasant. Housekeeping was also attentive, rooms were clean and tidy. We would go back, we hope. Our usual fear is that this kind of places with excellent reviews go down the hill after a while, falling into complaceny - hop molino del arco wont, and will remain to be a good place with even better people working for it. We bought the hotel's own produce olive oil too and now using for salads at home..

This hotel is located outside of Ronda so if you are just in for a day and only want to see the sites this is not the hotel for you. However if you are giving Ronda a couple of days or looking for a base from which to see several of the Pueblos Blancos this is the spot for you,

The people are fabulous at this place, they will do everything in their power to make your stay the best it can be. Let them arrange a tour of a bodega for you and you will be in for a very special treat!

The hotel is on the side of the hill facing Ronda with spectacular views of the Andalusian countryside. It is historical building that has been refurbished and re-purposed without losing its quirky charm. I don;t think there is an actual right angle in the place so the construction and design gurus would go crazy here but the natural charm of the place will instantly win you over, Wonderful gardens full of indigenous flowers bloom between the rooms and the pool, which is immaculate and very inviting in the summer.

They have their own restaurant but need to know in advance if you are planning on meals so they can be sure to accommodate you since this is not a "walk in" kind of place. The lounge has an honor bar that is always available and you are expected to jot you name and room number down so that they can charge you for whatever you use, A list is posted with prices so there are no surprises.

It takes about 10 minutes by cab from Ronda and the last couple of minutes are on a dirt road with the hotel perched at the very end. It is worth every minute!

We arrived at this gorgeous hotel at 7pm on a Thursday night to a warm welcome from our host Juan. The hotel has been converted from what once was an olive mill and the renovation has been done with the best of Spanish style and grace. The many thoughtful touches were evident because of the quality and heart with which they were executed. We had a large room, very comfy bed, overlooking the courtyard and gardens of the estate, Their olive farm and the hills of Ronda beyond the boundaries of the gardens. As we arrived late we had dinner in on the first night. It was absolutely delicious; such a treat to have 'real' food after weeks of tapas. (Don't get me wrong, I love tapas) It was a little more expensive but worth it for a treat. That evening we were introduced to the estates olive oil and what a delight it is. We bought three bottles; taking two bottles home to Australia and eating a whole bottle for breaky in the next week with fresh baguette and tomato slices. Heaven.
A little tricky to find when the GPS wouldn't recognise the address. The iphone saved us. The best way to find the hotel was by using the Google search map link. It went straight to maps and guided us all the way.
A short drive into Ronda, well worth staying out of town for the lovely area the hotel is located in. Loved our stay here and highly recommend it to others.

Have just got back from an idyllic couple of nights at Hotel Molino del Arco. As previous reviews have commented the hotel is very quiet, the rooms are excellent and the food is well above average. The set menu changes nightly so is really good value. We enjoyed the breakfast which was served individually as the hotel was not busy - well worth the price.

Our dog dislikes noise so this was a good choice as there are plenty of quiet off site tracks to walk along. We used the hotel as a base as we wanted come up from the coast and visit Olvera and white villages north of Ronda.

Please don't pay too much attention to those who critize the state of the road - it is a tarmacadam road for all but the final 200 yards when it is more a Camino rural - but not unduly rutted - just try to get there in daylight for the first time!

This hotel is just outside Ronda, Andalusia, and not far to drive. From the right turn off the main street it is signed-posted all the way. The building is beautiful and the gardens are certainly a delight in summer (visited in January, when they were still great, oranges on the trees etc, but not the right weather to enjoy the pool, unfortunately).
The lady at reception spoke very good English and was friendly, accommodating and helpful. Our room war spacious and very nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. From our window we had scenic views across the countryside, with Ronda in the distance and gorgeous mountains in the backdrop. We had something like the best-night-sleep-ever: there wasn't a single sound to be heard!
Breakfast was great, the coffee excellent and the food fresh and nicely arranged.
I am looking forward to visit again, fully recommend this hotel!

Idyllic surroundings, off the beaten track, a beautiful garden and very spacious rooms with all comfort, WIFI included. The host/owner was very helpful and customer friendly . The building itself is just splendid, classy and full of history and has been in the family > 500 years. Spacious beds and no noise whatsoever. Dinner was good and cheap accompanied by wine from the estate itself . Breakfast was top notch with a lot of variety and fresh local products. When staying in Ronda we will definitely come back here. Sleeping in style on the typical Spanish countryside .

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better view of the scenery .
