My husband, our 2 year old daughter and myself visited this hotel in the middle of nowhere - which is exactely what we needed. The cot we asked for was for free - more than most hotels can say. Getting there was much easier than I thought it would be after reading the comments.( What do you expect going to a rural hotel?) All the staff made friends with our daughter. Extremely friendly and so willing to satisfy our needs. We felt so at home and I suppose this is what we look for when we go to a rural hotel - peace, good service, good food and a comfortable room. The decoration was done very tastefully. The chef made a special effort in having something different prepared for us every evening as we stayed there for 6 nights. This is a typical ´cortijo´and the views from the little terrace in the main sitting area are just fantastic. Beautiful Spanish patio. Not to mention the free cake they have on offer in their Honesty Bar. Small details that made our stay a very pleasant and relaxing one. This hotel deserves every star it´s been given. We shall deffinitely return and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking tranquility, relaxation and a personalised service.

We stayed at this delightful hacienda hotel for 2 nights in mid-September and recommend it highly for visitors to Ronda. You will need its beauty, spaciousness and calm after the frenzy that is Ronda. Hotel is out in the country with Ronda and pueblos blancos
easy to reach. You do need a car to stay here..
Room was large with sitting area and patio. Food excellent. While there are restaurants nearby on the main road convenience dictates you eat in.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Computers are available gratis. Honor bar for all manner of drinks including coffee. There's a lovely swimming pool.
The price was also right compared to hotels in Ronda.
Do not be daunted by comments on the dirt road or missing turns. Signs are placed at every turn and dirt part short and not a problem.
This is a lovely, elegant place to stay.

“Make sure you get a suite”

Hotel Molino del Arco

The hotel is situated in a peaceful location (last bit down a dirt track, 2nd gear only!) approx. 8km (15mins by car) outside of Ronda.
Using the directions on the Hotel website we had no problem finding the place. The numerous young staff were very helpful and professional.
We booked a junior suite, but were initially shown to the wrong room, a spacious but dark musty double off the courtyard (no.6). On query we moved into our junior suite (no.1) in the main building, which was superb. The mistake was easily made because the confirmation from laterooms stated both junior suite and double!
The pool is located through the tiered gardens to the back of the hotel. The guest lounge area was nicely laid out with sofas, chairs and a well stocked honestly bar.
I would recommend this hotel (junior suite) for couples who want time together in a traditional rural Spanish setting, with the option of busy Ronda close by.

We passed for the second consecutive year our summer holliday for 14 days in this wonderfull place with our three children. And again we had this unique feeling of coming home, to be treated as friends, and this in a high quality accomodation with fantastic rooms and a daily personal service....we never had this feeling before (and we travel quite a lot...)! Everything was very clean, the garden and swimming pool are more and more beautifull, and the kitchen in the very cosy outside restaurant were typical and fantastic! Everybody was so nice with us and with our children, we were happy every day to come back here... So I would advise not to make the mistake a lot of people make here : to stay one night or two and to be very pity to leave this splendid place to fast! Ronda is not so big, but a lot of nice natural sites are very near, and also Sevilla, Xerez, Malaga, ....are in a distance of less than 1,5 hours driving on nice roads. And every night you are very happy to come back to this oasis of rest and quality time after a "bussy" day, it's not so hot in the hills in the evening and its so nice and quiet...that's why we stayed here for two weeks this year....and we certainly will come back !!! Thanks to everyone in the hotel, you made our holiday unforgettable !!!

“Loved this rural boutique hotel”

Hotel Molino del Arco

Jul 12, 2007

We found the hotel to be a stunning countryside retreat which can be reached by a perfectly accessible country road.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and upgraded us to the suite which was just lovely with views from the upstairs terrace that stretch across the Ronda countryside for miles.
The hotel has a great restaurant with a weekly changing menu, we dined there three times over our four night stay. The food was excellent - I don't eat meat so on request they made different fish dishes each night which were not on the menu all at a very reasonable price.
The hotel had several features that made it feel as though you were staying in a friend's country house rather than a hotel. There is an honesty bar which allows you to help yourself to a variety of food and drink at any time of day, this includes a poolside fridge which is stocked with salads and sandwiches on a daily basis prepared by the chef. There is a large airy lounge with sofas, books, games and a laptop which residents can access the internet free of charge on at anytime.
To us the combination added up to a great stay - if you seek large access roads, wide screen tv's and 24 hour room service then you won't find those things at Molino del Arco. However if you really want to get away from everything in gorgeous surrondings I'm sure you'll be as satisfied as we were.
