Owner description: Discover the life of the figthting bull and the andalusian horse. Only a few minutes away from the city that joined its destiny to the king of the dehesa, at RESERVATURO RONDA, in the edge of a Biosphere Reserve, we can enjoy observing within a short distance all the stages of the fighting bull breeding and selection: the breeding stock cows escorted by the powerful stallion -the chosen one, the herald of the essence of the breed-; the calves born that year, running about together overlooked by their mothers, dreaming of a long life in the country; the young bulls insolents, boastful of their thoroughbred; and finally, the bull, the result of centuries of men's passion for creating the most beautiful creature, midway between its nobility and its fighting spirit.

“What a great surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014 via mobile

We went to the Reservataura because my 13 yo son. My wife is an avid animal lover and does not approve of bullfighting. We went on our tour with Gloria, who was fantastic. She explained how the bulls are raised in a loving, ecologically friendly environment. She also explained in a clear, concise way, the whole process of birth to the ring for these bulls. We got to pet some horses and get up close to the bulls. In the end we had a greater understanding of the loving ways the animals are cared for and the reverence they have for the bulls. If you need someone to speak English, Gloria is your person. She made the experience fun and highly educational. It was very evident that she loves the animals and her job. We all came away with a new understanding of bullfighting.

“Close to fighting bulls - without going to a bullfight”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2014

We had a great experience, learning a little about the traditions and history of bullfighting while seeing bulls, cows and calves in a lovely setting. There are beautiful Andalucian horses and we were lucky to see a new foal, still wobbly on its incredibly long legs. Everywhere is immaculately kept, the scenery is beautiful and the animals obviously very well cared for. Elena, our guide, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. A must-do in Andalucia!

“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

I actually thought I would be bored going to this bull farm, I was really going for the enjoyment of my young kids. Boy was I wrong!! Elena was our guide and she is so passionate about her job, and what they do at the farm. She was extremely informative, and we learned so much about all aspects of the farm. To raising, selecting, the bullfights in general, and all throughout the animals lives. It was one of the top 2 things we did in Ronda. Don't miss this experience!!

“Fantastic tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2014

We loved our behind the scenes look at a real working bull and horse farm. The animals are kept in wonderful countryside and it was fantastic to see how they work the animals up close. Such a friendly and passionate team- a must-do in Ronda

“Great experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2014

We spent a delightful morning at the Reservatauro. The tour was insightful as was our guide Elena. We learned not only about raising the bulls but of the traditions and pride of this endeavor. The bulls, cows and horses were all well cared foe an the scenery lovely. Make sure to meet Tricky! A great change from the more typical tours and experiences. We highly recommend it.
