“Lovely Spanish hotel in great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

We got this hotel from Tripadvisor. It looked like a good location at a reasonable price and this turned out to be so. Room and hotel very Spanish which we liked and the staff were friendly and helpful. Great location in the old town just over the bridge with spectacular views from the restaurant although we did not actually eat there. No parking outside hotel but you can park at the end of the street mad walk to the hotel with bags to check in. Hotel has a parking but it costs €15 a day. If you do not have breakfast at the hotel there are plenty of places round about for a light breakfast. Would definitely recommend.

I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely small hotel for three days in late October, 2013. The staff was welcoming and very attentive, the room was comfortable and had a gorgeous view out over the valley and to the mountains. The hotel has a very good restaurant with excellent wines by the glass and nice variety on the menu. Having had a large lunch one day I enjoyed a 'simple' dinner of a fresh green salad and the hotels excellent house-made foie gras with a very good Ronda wine by the glass. Breakfasts were good with reasonable choice and eggs cooked to order if desired. The hotel has several touches that make it feel homey and sophisticated at the same time. The location is excellent right in the heart of the old city, walkable to all the key sights and to numerous tapas places, shops and more. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view. If your budget permits, spring for a junior suite.

When planning our trip, we had trouble choosing between the Ronda parador and Hotel Montelirio. Boy, are we glad we choose Montelirio. Our room was clean, comfortable, spacious and the view was breathtaking, the service was superb, the location convenient......everything was outstanding and worth E190/nt. Thank you Hotel Montelirio for a lovely stay.

The service is first rate. The view is the best in Ronda. Concierge/hospitality staff speak excellent English and are very helpful. Not only do they happily honor any request, they volunteer extras to make your stay the utmost in comfort & convenience including parking your car, opening the restaurant 2 hours early to accommodate an early departure and serve breakfast, help with directions, etc. Our room was very comfortable, immaculate, and luxurious. Location cannot be better - room and restaurant on the gorge, very close to the Old Bridget. Highest recommendation for Hotel Montelirio.

Room Tip: We stayed in room #1, Malaga, which had a fantastic view and was conveniently located on the main fl...

Worth the price as the view alone is spectacular. Booked the overnight parking which is a must and this was excellent and easy. Help at the front desk was first class and nothing too much trouble. The hotel and rooms were very clean, beautiful and classically decorated with a large comfortable bed. Although breakfast was a very laid back affair, we got there eventually. Relaxed in the afternoon on the terrace by the pool (very small) which also had the spectacular views.

Room Tip: Book rooms with a view a must.

We stayed at this hotel for a night at the end of August and the service is superb! The hotel itself is very beautiful with a romantic ambiance and many details throughout. We had a dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, and the view of the mountains and the gorge are amazing. I noticed a review of bad service from the restaurant, but when we visited, they were very attentive and didn’t hesitate to make sure everything was within our liking. I highly recommend this property for an anniversary or any other special occasion. Staff service is very welcoming and customer mindful.

Room Tip: Rooms on the road side are noisy in the morning.

Worth the price for the view from the pool alone. Help at the front desk was first class in perfect English! Rooms are on the small side, but very nice and clean. Although the view is spectacular, I would not recommend the restaurant for dinner, service was the worst we experienced over our entire trip.

Room Tip: We choose not to spend the extra money for the view of the bridge, didn't seem to be worth the p...
