“Fantastic Food Fantastic View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Had lunch overlooking ravine on the terrace the service was great and so was the food. We drank local Ronda wines and the waiter was really helpful and friendly. A very memorable occasion and will return to stay just trying to find out the nearest airport.

This hotel was a little more expensive than the others we stayed at on our tour of Andalucia but it was well worth it. We just spent two nights here, staying in room 001, Malaga, with a full length window giving us the wonderful view of the gorge. The room was beautifully and classically decorated with a large comfortable bed and seating area.

The staff (Angela) gave us the best welcome we have ever received at a hotel, greeting us as friends, without being overfamiliar. We had a hire car which we left outside (yes, you just park it in the narrow street while you check in!) and then it was parked in the garage up the road for us. We did not use the swimming pool and terrace due to lack of time but it looked inviting. We had breakfast once but to be honest it was nothing special except being able to look out onto the gorge whilst eating it!

The location is excellent, being convenient for both old town and newer town and of course the bridge and gorge.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: Malaga (001) is lovely and has the gorge view. Some would call it a superior double but it is classe...

This was a wonderful one night stay right from the moment we arrived when we met John in the lane and he showed us where we could park while we checked in. The staff was so warm and genuinely welcoming during our stay. The room was only 89 Euro's and we even had a small balcony (not on the gorge side but quite private) . Even better was the dinner we treated ourselves to on the dining room balcony overlooking the gorge during the sunset hours. We spent more on this beautiful and delicious dinner experience than the room itself but we felt it was well worth it. We relaxed for about 2 1/2 hours while we were ate and enjoyed the fine service. The pool area of this hotel is also really unique as the hotel is right on the gorge. Ronda itself was a very nice town to walk around, the gorge was spectacular. Thank you to Angela and John and all of the kind staff.

Room Tip: Our room was not facing the gorge and not expensive but very nice and it had the only balcony.

Many hotels in Ronda have excellent views. The location of this hotel in the old town makes it necessary to book a garage. This costs you €16,50. Hotel staff will park your car in a nearby garage and bring it back.
This is a small hotel with only a few rooms and it seems the hotel can manage with little staff.
Rooms and salons are filled with a lot of bric a brac and quasi antique furniture from Asia.
If you cannot book a room with as view it would be better to look elsewhere.
Breakfasts are not included. They are of the self service type and utterly simple. Orange drink instead of juice. Coffee was served but when we wanted another cup no staff could be found.
Although the restaurant is probably a different business from the hotel and has probably nothing to do with the breakfast, we still could not be tempted to try. There is a well frequented restaurant next door anyhow with even better views.
Staff is very friendly when you see them. They sure do their best.
But do go there for the views

A great choice if you are staying in Ronda.
Fantastic location overlooking the gorge. We stayed in the Malaga suite which was large, comfortable and well equipped with the balcony overlooking the gorge.
The hotel is located in the old part of Ronda about 2 or 3 mins walk through quaint old streets lined with orange trees to the cathedral and Town Hall. From the hotel it is only about a 5 min gentle stroll across the new bridge to the new town and the bullring.Ronda is quite a small town and everything is easily accessible from the hotel.
The staff in the hotel are very welcoming and cannot do enough to help you with anything you need.
Overall a great choice with a great location

You don't need to look much further than this hotel .

Service and quality of the hotel ( guest house really) is excellent . Beautifully designed with real character and top rate facilities . Location could not be better for exploring the famous sites.. In fact You can see most of them on the open balcony whilst having dinner!
