“Very unfrIendly staff - below average food”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2014

We went there on Thursday before Easter. We were treated absolutely unfriendly, the lady was even quite rude. A surcharge of 20% for eating outside is ridiculous, certainly for the below average quality of the food and the already high prices.
My suggestion: take any other place but this one.

“Good value for a restaurant in a tourist trap area!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

Found an indoor table for two without a reservation for a light Sunday lunch.

Good mixed salad shared, two nice main courses, four beers and two coffees all for EUR 40.

And all served with a friendly smile.

“Nothing special, nice location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

Visited in low season. Staff very helpful made their way to make us feel welcome. Drinks are more expensive than one would expect and less volume than others in the area. Food was good, there were four of us, 3 of whom had the club sandwich, which went down well and was very substantial. I had the fish and chips - which was hake portions in a very unusual yet pleasant batter with chips, fish was well cooked and substantial, chips rather like supermarket French fries. Food for all four of us were served at the same time and waiting time was fine...remembering this was low season. Price of food was reasonable to perhaps just above average but certainly a good portion to be fair and value for money. Once again have to comment drinks are over priced (I include both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages including tea and coffee - don't know why they charge so much. Place was clean.

The venue is good for just to eat and then short walk to gardens and see dramatic views from edge of garden. A short walk stroll through the gardens to the left takes you to the 'new bridge' which is well worth seeing.

Overall: Nothing special about this place....but service was good, food OK; good location though for access to viewpoints..

Downside: Just opposite is very limited car parking space for delivery vehicles. A bit entertaining watching the guy assisting small delivery vehicles come, and make deliveries to various small outlets and go. But that is Spain.

“Over-priced tourist trap”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2014

What makes them justify a 20% premium for sitting on their patio??? Other than a trap for tourists who did not read the fine prints. The food is just average, drinks are overpriced (4€ for a Sangria? 2€ for a bottle water?), and nowhere have I seen a 20% surcharge.

“Disappointing should have read the earlier reviews”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

Just bad overall. Surprisingly this place was busy and the server was just hassled. We don't speak much Spanish so that didn't help either. Our kids wanted pasta and this restaurant had it on the menu. The Spaghetti was cold and only one sauce was available although they had four choices on the menu. They advertised a Tapas special that included a drink but when the bill came everything was charged separately. The tapas included three salads doused in mayonnaise. Most other people were drinking coffee and eating pizza. We probably should have ordered a pizza. Not a great experience overall.
