“Love this place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Stumbled on El Lechuguita one lunchtime at the end of our cycling trip - what a find! Teeming with Spanish, waving their completed order-sheets at the studiously bored but super-efficient waiter. Went back several times but could never figure how he knew who had ordered what but he always got the bill right! Great local, traditional bar filled with families in the early evening and couples at night - oops, sounds as if we never left the place! Tasty tapas but the atmosphere is the thing here.

“A Splendid Tapas Bar”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

The name is, I believe, from their speciality tapas, a portion of lettuce in the most wonderful of dressings-I say this as someone who doesn't normally like lettuce!
This is a fantastic tapas bar and the portions are absolutely massive, so please don't make the mistake i did of ordering too much at once, as I actually felt like some sort of glutton when they were served up to me.
It isn't a posh place, far from it but what it is is a very atmospheric, and very authentic Spanish bar, which does mean that English isn't spoken. Don't let this put you off visiting, you needn't need to speak much Spanish because you just have to tick what you want to eat on the little paper slips that you will be given. And if you can't order a drink in Spanish, well perhaps it's best that you just stay in your hotel!
I love this place and i shall certainly be back!
