“We spent a long time here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

Worth visiting. Unlike the arena in Sevilla, in this one you are allowed to walk around everywhere at your own pace. We spent a lot of time here, walking around out/inside in the sun as well as visiting the museum.

“A interesting stop in Ronda”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

The Plaza de Toros, the Ronda bullring, was the first one constructed in Spain, in the late 18th century. Entrance is 7 euros, which includes access to the ring itself, the museum under the stands, and the stables behind the ring. Overall visit takes about 45 minutes.

7 euros is a tad steep, but the museum was interesting and informative, painting a picture of the evolution of bull fighting from the middle ages to the present day. Ronda is a very quaint, romantic town that lacks many premier attractions, and this is one of the big draws. If you're interested in bull fighting, it's worth a visit.

“Brilliant Vista's”

Ronda has so much to see and discover that to come for only one day was rather short sighted as to visit ever attraction would take at least 3 days.

“Plaza De Toros”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

What is special of this place is that it is the oldest bullring for bull fighting that is known today (matador on foot vs. strictly from horeseback). The second oldest if not mistaken was located in Seville. Due to our timeline, we were not able to take the guided tour.

“Spine Tingling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 17, 2012

I have always been against bull fighting as I find the idea inhumane. So I was unprepared for the feeling of excitement I got when I entered the bull ring. You could feel the atmosphere, even though it was closed. It almost made me feel as though I wanted to attend a real bull fight ALMOST. Absolutely amazing building and outbuildings. Definitely worth a visit.
