I stayed at the Parador in Ronda twice in 2006. The first stay was with my college aged son during spring break in March, and the second in September with my wife. We had the same room both times which was a two floor duplex with a great terrace overlooking the gorge. The countryside surrounding Ronda is remarkably green in March and completely burned brown after the spring. The breakfast buffet is very good. Dinner at the Parador's restaurant is fair, but there are much better choices in town. Tragabuches restaurant, a block from the Parador is outstanding, and more than deserving of its 1 Michelin Star. I found it on par with many 2 stars in Madrid and Barcelona. The tasting menu was interesting, delicioso, quite filling, and well worth the 75 Euro per person charge. The wine list was excellent, and a 50 Euro Pago de Carrovejas Ribera del Duero Reserva was deemed worthy of decanting at the table. The service was excellent friendly and not at all snooty. As with most of Spain, a rudimentary understanding of Spanish is both helpful and appreciated. Another great choice for lunch or dinner is the ""muy tradicional " Pedro Romero restaurant directly across the street from the Plaza de Toros. Pictures of Hemingway ,Orson Wells, Spanish Kings and the greatest matadors in history, taken in the Restaurant and across the street, grace the walls along with the stuffed heads of championship bulls, some with an ear missing. The Plaza de Toros continues to host corridas (bullfights) on a limited basis, with the most important taking place in September , known as the Goyescas. This is the big Ferria of Ronda and the Corridas feature both Matadors and spectators in traditional Andalusian costume. The bullfight attracts the best Matadors in Spain. I missed the Corridas, but did get to see the Goya exhibit in the local museum featuring his bullfight sketches. Ronda is small and picturesque, with an interesting history, nice museums, and great restaurants. How can you go wrong? Well worth a 2-3 night stay.

Stayed in a duplex room to accomodate our family and was treated to a nice roof-top terrace with spectacular views. The staff was surprisingly friendly and accomodating. The rooms were modern but had some character. Everyone agreed that it was the nicest hotel of our week-long stay in Spain. The breakfast spread was among the nicest in Spain and was made even more special because of the views from the dining area. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for families.

The hotel is located very close to the Puente Nuevo, the famous bridge that spans a 120m deep mountain gorge. Consequently, the hotel is very easy to find. Our double room was generously sized with comfortable beds and a lounge area to watch television or enjoy a reasonably priced drink from the minibar. It was a ground floor room and we had the added benefit of a small private garden area with patio table and chairs that led to a large area which contained the hotel's open air swimming pool. Unfortunately, it was too cold in February for a swim -Ronda' s mountain location is several degrees cooler than the coast.

The restaurant has a stunning view of the nearby mountains. The food was good and the service very attentive. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Car parking is available, but at an additional charge. Getting a car in and out of the car park requires the operation of barriers and doors controlled from reception.

The location of the hotel is such that there are plenty of restaurants within a short walking distance as are the historical sites of Ronda including the bridges, town walls, bullring and Moorish baths,

The Parador de Ronda is an excellent place to stay - not a cheap option, but gives good value for money.

This was a lovely paradore. We had a very comfortable room with a phenomenal view over the surrounding countryside. The restaurant was very nice and we enjoyed both our dinner and the breakfast. At the Golden Days rate of 140 Euros for room and breakfast and 18 euros for parking (plus 7% tax), the accommodations were expensive but we felt we got good value, unlike the overly expensive Parador de Granada. We enjoyed being so close to the gorge and bridge, but really everything is within easy walking distance in Ronda.

Ronda is famous for it's gorge and this hotel is as close as you can get!! The hotel was friendly, immaculate and very nicely appointed. We only stayed one night but I would recommend Ronda and the Parador very highly.
