We stayed at the Reina Victoria for three nights a the end of July. It was the last three days of our holiday and we chose to stay here because we just wanted somewhere pretty with a pool to chill out before returning home. It was everything we could have wanted - but make sure you ask for a room with a view - it really is the whole reason to stay here. The hotel itself has a British country house/colonial feel to it. The rooms themselves are quite dated (chintzy fabric and 70's style bathroom) but none of this matters if you have a terrace/balcony overlooking the gorge. it really is breathtaking and we spent most of our time (when not by the tranquil pool or strolling around the town) sitiing on our balcony - just taking in the view.
The pool is wonderful, clean and set in the gardens. There are complemenatry towels and comfy sunbeds. We didn't eat at the hotel, but I would highly recommend the Puerta Grande restuarant in town. Fanstasic aubergines in batter with local honey!
