“Absolutely brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2014

This was recommended by our hotel. We were a bit sceptical when the owner (Elias) greeted us with a suggestion that we ignore the menu and have a 'bit of everything'. We were even more sceptical when we were seated at a table with a laminated blurb in English, with sponsor's ads, about how much the restaurant means to the owner. BUT ignore those things and just go for it! Really top class food, served in a friendly way in an informal setting. One of the best meals we've had for a while. The restaurant is just outside the southern wall of the old city, 5 minutes walk from the bridge and ravine. We sat in the square opposite and food was ferried out by Elias and his daughter. Everything was top quality produce - the steak was out of this world. An outstanding place to eat!

“Un poco de todo!”

Thank you Elias and the family for your hospitality! We had a wonderful evening and a great dinner! A bit of everything (un poco de todo): you have outdone your own surprise menu ! Thank you!

“Just Brilliant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

Visited on a recommendation from our hotel and when we arrived were somewhat hesitant with our first impression. Small cafe with tables a distance away across the street in the square but how wrong we were, the food was wonderful and the service excellent. We allowed the owner and his daughter to chose both our food and wine and were treated to the best meal we have had in Spain and one that ranks among the very top of any we have had in our travels and at home.

I honestly believe if you visit Ronda you would be a fool not to visit Casa Maria.

“Amazing tapas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

Visited Ronda on a day trip with 3 children in tow and decided to eat at Casa Maria after checking reviews. We were not disappointed! The lovely owner showed us to a table in a shady square across the road from the restaurant - a super spot from the direct sun to take a break. It was nearing 3pm but the young lady (Maria?) who came over to serve us was smiling and made us feel very welcome nonetheless. We were recommended 'un poco de todo' and all of us were delighted with the variety and quality of the tapas served. We were even given a small bottle of olive oil from their own farm at the end of the meal. Superb food and hospitality!

“First Day and one of the best meals”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2014

We sat in the square and had a wonderful meal, eveything we ate was fresh and full of flavour, Maria, her father and the rest of the staff were very friendly, the food was very good value for money, whilst eating we watched whole familys (including grandparents) and their friends in the square, children playing whilst the adults chatted, we felt very content to be part of such a lovely scene.
