“Cosiness in the Mountains”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2009

Booked from the reviews of trip advisor and definitely not disappointed, a fabulous stay, very relaxing and quiet even if the chalets were fully occupied. Would of loved to of sayed 2 nights, the open fire and the setting was like stepping back in time.
The hosts were lovely and the breakfast was very filling and well presented.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2009

We are a family of 2 adults and 2 kids aged 7 and 9. We stayed in the Chalet, in their family room, for 2 nights in April 2009 (yes, kids are welcome though one of the previous reviews says "no kids").

The Chalet was charming and the garden and it's surroundings almost like an autumn fairytale. Our room was really beautiful and the small amenities & extras (like luxurious soaps, complimentary cookies and coffee-making facilities) were a nice addition. Breakfast was great, too! And since our kids go to bed quite early, we adults enjoyed sitting and reading in the guest lounge, having a glass of complimentary port.

But best of all were the owners, Jo and Norm, and the friendly, helpful and professional service they provided. They really made us feel welcome and helped us with planning our stay in the Blue Mountains area (which we were not at all familiar with beforehand). Joe and Norm even made a few bookings for us as well as searched for and printed out information on the Internet.

Wonderful atmosphere of an older-style home. A B&B which can fit 7 couples (no children!!). Very peaceful part of the Blue Mountains... 5 minutes drive to Blackheath or Katoomba. All the little luxuries that you could wish for. Friendly and knowledgeable service from Jo and Norm.

  • Liked — So warm and comfortable
  • Disliked — Need to drive out for evening meal

Friends organised Christmas in July in the Blue Mountains and they took us to this charming little place hidden in Medlow Bath.
It is near the famous Hydro Majestic but in the quite back streets away from the noise of the highway and trains.

The rooms are beautiful and the fireplace in the dining rooms is great for after dinner drinks. The food was fantastic with all the Christmas treats laid on. The staff, also the owners, were friendly and looked after us well.

Will definately be returning to this hidden gem.

  • Liked — The quite relaxed location
  • Disliked — Not enough time there!
