“Paradise in Panama”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

My wife and I spent an incredible three nights at De La Luna in September 2012. It is a tropical paradise and Michelle is an amazing hostess. We stayed in Casa Saraso on the crystal clear water. What a fantastic way to wake up every morning! We spent our days reading, lounging in the hammocks, snorkeling/swimming in the Laguna and playing with Jewells, the resident monkey.
The only thing better than the accommodations was the food. Simply amazing and some of the best meals we have had anywhere. Local, fresh ingredients abound! I cannot recommend De La Luna highly enough for a relaxing getaway in paradise.

“The Jungle Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

De La Luna Resort...dubbed "The Jewel Of Isla Loma Partida" is truly deserving od it's title!
A most beautiful retreat where you can re-connect with yourself.
Quiet yet exciting at all times. You can choose from a variety of activities including hiking the jungle trails, snorkeling the beautiful coral reefs, which BTW, are just outside your hut's door, paddling the shoreline in an authentic Ngobe dugout canoe, dance with fire OR lounge in your own personal hammock while watching the eagle rays breech the clear waters of the bay.
My only difficult decision of the whole trip was which of the 5 huts I wanted to sleep in for the night.
The food was delicious and meals were planned around the ingredients provided by the sea and the resort's fertile soil. Oh, and I should mention that there was ALWAYS cold adult beverages available!!
Michelle, the resort's reigning queen, is part of the magical experience at De La Luna Resort. She tends to her guests as if they were her loving family.
I can't wait to return!!

Room Tip: Cool breezes at night while sleeping in Casa Saraso along with the soothing sounds of water. The jun...

“Gorgeous little hotel! Superbe petit hôtel à essayer absolument!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

Located 30 minutes away from Bocas town on the quiet and secluded island of Loma Partida - home to a Ngobe community - De la luna is a great place for a romantic getaway. My girlfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights in July 2012 and we wished we could have stayed longer! De la luna has 5 different accomodations spread out across the property, including Casa Saraso (right above the water - this is where we stayed) and Casa Colibri (which can sleep up to 8 people). However, there is only one group at a time, whihch means that if you book a room for one night, you will automatically have the whole hotel for yourself (at least that's how it worked during our stay and I don't thing this will change in the near future). The hotel doubles up as an organic farm, so the food is really healthy and tasty (fresh bananas, pineapples, yucca, guavas, otoi, coconuts, cacao etc, etc, etc...)! Every accomodation has stunning views on the bay and Volcan Baru. The hotel is well equipped with snorkelling gear, cayuco (traditional Indian canoe), board games, books etc... It is also VERY safe, since the place is for yourself and the staff is so reliable. You can also book a trip to the nearby islands (Cayo Zapatillas, Cayo del Agua etc...) for a decent price. Or you can just enjoy the quiet atmosphere and the hammocks overlooking the bay. There are two nice coral reefs about 50 meters from the hotel with colorful fish and coral (the water is very clear) and you can also hike in the jungle that sprawls behing De la luna. Michelle - the owner - is a delightful and patient hostess: she did all that she could to make us feel at home and I have to admit that she did a very good job at it! She is also a wonderful cook (make sure to try the stuffed fish and the veggie lasagna) and a remarkable brewer (she brews her very own organic cacao beer and organic cacao liquor)! We had a great time talking to staff members Romeldo, Senia and Erasmo, about the Ngobe culture. If you like wild animals, De la luna is a great place to spot monkeys, humming-birds, sting rays etc... There are even ocelots living in the jungle behind Casa Colibri! All in all, I highly recommend De la luna for a romantic getaway or for a family vacation.

“Tropical Island Sanctuary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

De La Luna Resort takes your breath away as soon as you pull up to the docks. The gorgeous landscape, the local flare and organic living is something to be seen. Michelle is an amazing host that will make you feel right at home in one of her eco-friendly accommodations.

Be sure to ask for her special batch of "Witches Brew" beer that is made on site.

Looking forward to seeing you again, Michelle.

Love the UNSTOPPABLE FAMILY

Room Tip: We are fans of the room on the dock over the sea. Gorgeous views, sounds and you can jump right of...

“Best vacation ever!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

This was absolutely the best tropical vacation ever. The food was wonderful and the accomodations were absolutely fantastic. The owner, Michelle has made her eco-friendly resort a whimsical exotic treasure in the jungle. Wonderful day trips to meet new people and enjoy the local atmosphere but plenty of privacy and tranquility if that is what you want. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: All rooms are fantastic
