“Great stay with friends”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

My fiancé and I shared 3 bedroom apartment with our friends and there two small children between Christmas and New Year. We had stayed as a couple in the apartments the year before and our friends decided they would like to stay as well. We were upstairs in the single bedroom apartment and they were downstairs in the two bedrooms. We shared the lounge and the kitchen. Dreamers is a short bike ride from town. It is walking distance to the pub, the brewery and the fish and chip shop. We enjoyed using the pool during the summer heat. We ate dinner outside enjoying the peace and quiet. make sure you bring the aeroguard. While not cheap accommodation it gave both families the space and privacy they needed. We had a wonderful time in Mount Beauty. The garage gives you plenty of room for bikes, tubes for the river and other toys. The combined washing machine .dryer was a god send for a holiday with small children. we felt very much at home both times we have stayed.

Thanks for your comments of our Dreamers property, great to hear you had a lovely time with your friends staying in one of the eco apartments.
The apartments are large enough for 2 small families making the price quite cost effective.

Dreamers may simply be one of the best lodging experiences I've ever had. My son and I stayed there on a ski trip recently, and we barely wanted to leave the place to go skiing. The owners are architects, and have built this 'village' as a labour of love over the past 20 years or so. The chalet designs are spectacular––throughly modern in the Australian vernacular, with the warmth of pressed terracotta walls, 'floating' stairways, and such amazing features as a glass-sided bathtub. There's an outdoor spa, a small lake with a perfect little jetty for cocktails, and wood fires all around. The place redefines your notion of 'cosy apres ski.' It's total 'lodginess'. On the first night we opted to eat in their restaurant, and all 15 of us in our group were bowled over not only by the food, but also by the self-designed plates and presentation, incredibly thoughtful service, and again: the perfect warmth and cosiness of the place. The owner, Wendy, and staff, Kerri, were extremely friendly and helpful, and they had the same kind of understatedly hip bearing and integrity that we found in the design of the place. If you want to take a trip where everything is surprising and wonderful and perfect, go to Dreamers.

Room Tip: Penthouse for full splendour, but all the chalets are great

Overlooking the snow capped mountains, Dreamers is a series of separate villas, surrounding a small dam. The villas are Eco friendly and very nice- not the boring beige of a hotel chain. Ideal to bring international visitors for a taste of Australia. Lots of bird life and surrounded by great bush walks and natural beauty.
We stayed in the Glasshouse villa. It was perfect for 1 or 2 couples, but not suitable for young children as the mezzanine bedroom is accessed by a ladder - like staircase that is very steep.

Thank you for your lovely comment of our Dreamers, Mt Beauty property.
We appreciate you taking the time to give us a great review.
You must return over the summer when we have plenty of green shady trees rather than winter lifeless trees...although in winter you do get the snow-capped mountain views!

Stayed here only for one night after doing quite a but of research of where to stayfor a relaxing night away. Could not have been more glad to have chosen dreamers and it's location! We stayed in the snowgum spa chalet which was just beautiful and the design was something beyond explanation. Wendy, the host was very helpful and everything was very clean. Location is perfect as falls creek is literally just up the hill and the town centre of mount beauty is a short stroll. Would defiantly recommend.

Mount Beauty is very much worth the trip. Its country town style was refreshing for us both. We found plenty to do here and the information centre in the town very helpful. Falls Creek is just up the road and we did two trips there to walk near the lakes. Dont expect to be able to eat here in the resort. Luckily there were plenty of places to eat not too far away. Bright was only over the hill and there, as in Mt Beauty the autumn colours we came to see were memorable. Overall a little to pricey for what was delivered.

Room Tip: Just check what you are booking carefully so that you actually get what you want.

Thank you for your review of Dreamers.
Your comment about not being able to eat at Dreamers was true at the time you came as we were just setting up our new in-house eclectic Snowbirds cafe but we are now happy to say that we are open on a Monday, Tuesday and Saturday evenings for dinner and Saturday and Sunday mornings for breakfast with a great chef in the kitchen!

We had our wedding at Dreamers on 27.04.2013. We chose to book out the whole venue for family and friends from Friday through to Monday. It is a weekend we will never forget!! We pulled in the driveway to the most beautiful coloured trees. We spent the Friday setting up for the wedding and nothing was too much trouble for Wendy and Mal.
The penthouse was set up with a fire bucket for our family and friends and it was great just to sit back and relax the night before the wedding!
Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, we were blessed with the weather and everyone kept commenting on the amazing venue and location...magical!
The pavilion in which we had our reception was spectacular - it is rustic and whimsical all rolled into one!
We spent our wedding night in the honeymoon chalet which was so cute, although the heating had not been turned on for us.
All in all we had an amazing weekend and so did each and everyone of our guests...we will all be back to visit again!!
Thank you for a fabulous weekend Dreamers!!
