It's not a place one might exactly stumble across. It's about 800m-1km down the road from the 'main' area visitors to Cherai beach usually go. I found it thanks to tripadvisor reviews and a helpful local who gave me directions. But this actually works in the cafe's favor as the place has that 'undiscovered gem' feel to it and is not overrun by tourists.
The burger I had was as good as it gets in India, with a side of hand-cut fries. The best part though is the view of the setting sun in the ocean horizon, next to a clean sandy beach and calm waves, no crowds and groovy music. Free wi-fi access was available but the connection was painfully slow though to be fair it was probably down to the ISP n beyond the control of the cafe.
