Matsuri Sushi is in its new location now in Dundas. The restaurant is small and intimate - seating about 30 people. Its comfortable and tastefully decorated Japanese-style.
The service is very attentive and very friendly. I had take out and while I was waiting for my sushi to be prepared they served me tea.
I had the Bento dinner box - including soup, house salad, Gyoza dumplings, sushi and chicken teriyaki. I upgraded to salmon and tuna nigri sushi (from the California roll which was to be included in the dinner). The house salad - yum - their dressing is amazing! Love it! The fried Gyoza dumplings were good, though there was no dumpling sauce provided. (You can also get them sautéed - but they didn't ask my preference)
The sushi was clearly the highlight of the dinner - it was simply delicious - fresh, cold - very tasty! The sushi pieces are much larger than other restaurants - almost to the point that they were difficult to eat in 1-2 bites!
The chicken teriyaki was average, though. The meat seemed to have a lot of tendons/grit in it. It could have had more sauce.
The prices are more than other sushi restaurants I have visited - the sushi, however seems to be superior.
