“Have the pirate drink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2013

Went to eat at their restaurant. Nice sized portions. I shared the shrimp mofongo with my dad. I have to say it is one of the best shrimp mofongos I have ever had. Oh and they have a famous drink they call the Pirate which is served in a coconut OMG don't you dare leave Cofresi without having one and make sure you eat the coconut pulp.

“Wonderful Food, Excellent Bar, & Fabulous Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2013

Had the best experience here on our recent trip to PR for our anniversary. We spent two nights here and had a fantastic time. Sipping cocktails with our feet in the sand and then dining in their fabulous restaurant was the perfect end to every day. The bar was lively and fun and the people were fantastic! We did find that our bed was a bit on the hard side but hey all is all this place is fantastic. There is a liquor store and a laundromat just down the street so you are all set if you need more clothes for your trip or just want to hang out away from the bar and have cocktails. Next time we'll stay another day because it was just that good! A shout out to Samuel who is the best bartender ever! The Chuletas de Cerdo & their Porterhouse steak are do die for! Just because the bar is casual and the vibe there is laid back doesn't mean you can't have a fine dining experience. Whether you order off the bar menu or the restaurant restaurant menu the food is excellent. Next time we may try to fly in rather than drive all the way from Old San Juan. Either way though it is worth the journey!

“Very good meal…”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2013

Although I have visited this place many times in the past, it was long ago when I had lunch at the restaurant. If you are looking for local cuisine, this place has many options on their menu to choose from. Food was very good as compared to similar restaurants nearby. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was good. The mahi mahi was fresh and the mango frappe was very good! One drawback is that dessert menu was very limited.

“Usual Good Food and Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We were showing a fellow pirate around and stopped for lunch. I never get tired of their quant bar and ocean view. A storm was coming in from the Mona Passage, but so slowly that it arrived after we finished lunch. Our waiter was very entertaining. He could not be very prompt with this crowd, but did his best. He would not believe that our visitor really wanted black coffee, oh well. My grouper was excellent. The sururittos (fried corn and cheese sticks) were unfortunately sweet. The parking attendant would not let us park, at first. After I dropped everyone off at the door and returned, he took pity and gave me a parking place. Good thing since we just missed the rain leaving. They have new menus. Some things are expensive, some are about the going rate, and nothing is cheap. A pleasant time at a fond place.

“Beach view & spaciousness make for relaxed casual coziness”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 14, 2013

My husband & I came for drinks at sunset, we didn't sample their food menu so can't speak to that. But our teen did have some burger & fries midday during beach play and liked it fine. We enjoyed the open, easy feel, right on the beach, and were able to perch on stools overlooking the sunset enjoying their famous Pirata which comes in a coconut. We went at happy hour and easily tided over a pretty, summer rainshower. Delicious that it's right on beach, perfect for refreshments without having to go away & get cleaned up! Sunsets are beautiful.
