What a find, and right in the middle of Rincon, way up on a nosebleed hill. This English style breakfast place is spot on. Really. Shockingly so! I am a bit of an eggs benedict snob; yes-I can make the stuff myself, and this is the best I have ever had. The chef (he is not merely a cook!) is outstanding, privy to details. Everything here is REALLY good, even the breakfast burrito; homemade sausage (I am not kidding). No-I do not know the cigarette sneaking owner, or the sweaty chef, of the extra friendly waitresses. The potatoes were great, the homemade (that too!) bread super, the marmalade authentic, the crescents imported from France (really?). The place is perched way up on a hill looking down to the blue-blue ocean, it really is quite magnificent, and the food is not expensive for what you get. I really LOVE this place, and I was prepared to hate it: I thought they would be a bunch of vinegary old retired English school marms, browbeating everyone; this was not the case; the place is very laid back (it IS Rincon, after all), but very efficient, bustling, clean, sunny. There is rarely a free table. I only wish this gem was in San Juan. This is the best breakfast in Puerto Rico, and I have had almost all of them. Yes-they have real tea! This place does not exactly deserve a perfect rating, but I shall give it one! After all, why quibble over finite details when approaching breakfast dining nirvana?
