“Hamptons style restaurant with great food and lovely views”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

The Oyster Inn's proprietor met us with a friendly handshake and showed us to our table on the terrace. Sitting with the glorious outlook over the buildings opposite to the sea and the beaches, it was heaven. The restaurant is very chic and food is delicious. Plenty of excellent sea-food but also a friend had the pork belly which was superb. Wonderful choice of fat chips or crisp thin French fries. We enjoyed a very good bottle of rose from a local Waiheke vineyard.

Sadly too full for pudding but the coffee was great as was the service. The Oyster Inn has smart bedrooms/ens if you wish to stay over.

“early lunch on reccomendation”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

Made a booking for a Friday lunch, , great upstairs outside verandah setting. Only 5 minutes from the ferry wharf so a good spot to kill some time after doing the wineries.
Many of the dishes were seafood, but lots of others to choose from. All local produce, and the fish was delicious
We went for a salad, rocket with mozzarella & pomegranate & grape, plus a local fish, done as "fish inn chips," a local beer, pale ale, .
amazing wine list, expensive, with about 10 Pinots ranging from about $50 to $110 per bottle.
Quite a few wines by the glass from about $13 per glass.
Great service, lovely décor, all in all a good choice.

Recently I was there with a friend for breakfast and was treated to a lovely selection of breakfast options, including Gluten free choices. The food arrived in a timely manner and the place was relaxed with a glorious view,

“The view is amazing from the verandah”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 27, 2013

The service was quick and efficient. The wait staff were very attentive.
The fish meal was ok but the fries were soggy and not freshly prepared---unlike on a previous visit.
There is a very good wine list and a good selection of local wines. However, the quantity of wine by the glass was pretty meagre for the price. It is far better value to purchase a bottle.
The view from the verandah across Big Oneroa Beach is amazing.
The restaurant is worth a visit.
