“LOVELY HOTEL”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

Had a lovely weekend at this hotel recently in July - it was a lovely bright and extremely clean hotel. We ate in the Brasserie Restaurant and food was excellent. I was a little bit disappointed at breakfast which was held in the Panorama Restaurant. A very large room with self service breakfast - a very long queue for hot food - a long wait for coffee and no plates for cold buffet - we arranged for room service on our second morning which was great - a little bit expensive at €15 Room Service for two people - The views of the lake were amazing.

Room Tip: Lake View amazing

This hotel is in one of the most beautiful settings on our trip. Right on a lake with the green mountains as a backdrop. We got in late and had to leave rather early, so we did not get to enjoy all of the amenities like horseback riding, pool, and indoor tennis courts, be we were able to at least see them. Killarney is a lively city with a great night life. We took a carriage through the local National Park as part of our stay which was excellent. Highly recommended.

If you are traveling through the west coast of Ireland and want a peaceful and relaxing spa to visit, this is the place. Slightly hidden and tucked along the lake in Killarney, this spa is a nice retreat. We had spent the day traveling through Dingle and while about an hour away this was far and away the best bet for hotels in that region. The rooms are enormous and all overlook the lake. The spa boasts a number of pools including a salt water pool. The outdoor pool (which connects to the indoors) is a great place to go to relax and take in the fresh air. Service is incredible and the concierge handled, rather, juggled, many reservations for dinner for us after we arrived later than expected. At night, there is live music in the lounge and the bar serves up some of Irelands's best whiskey. The breakfast was very good and offered a beautiful view of the lake.

Myself and my Partner in Crime Ms Liu had the pleasure of 3 Night package at The Europe .I`ve experienced the natural beauty of Estes Park and RMNP CO,USA .and many of the best sea front Hotels in SoCal and SoBe but nothing compares to the vista of The Europe. The view is breath-taking beyond measure . The Hotel is perfectly designed to afford guests The View from the moment they enter to the moment they leave . The Spa and Indoor /Outdoor pool is unsurpassable .. Michael in Concierge, Chef Nahke and Fiona on Front Desk are stand-out Performers . The location, design and fabric of the Hotel are 5* all the way . The food in both the Brasserie and Panorama Restaurants are of the highest standard. The Staff are universally courteous , attentive and professional .This place is an Irish paradise . I will be back. Its worth every cent .

Myself & my husband spent a 2 might break here on a " babymoon" and could not fault it in the slightest way . The hotel itself it just simply Devine and has to to experienced to believe it . We had a golf view room which still had views of the lakes . One slight thing is that for a 5 star hotel there was no air con and this was tough as weather was extremely hot and you would think being a 5 star you would have air con but don't let this turn you off as Ireland rarely gets this hot and it's only a small issue . We used the spa as well which was just so peaceful and relaxing , ample space around the indoor pool so you never feel squashed in, the food in the spa cafe was top notch and all the better with the breath taking views . We ate in The Brassaire on both nights and again food was amazing , the staff in all areas of hotel are as friendly as well . All in all I would highly recommend a visit here especially if it's for a special occasion , we most definitely will return .

Stayed here last weekend. The views around the hotel are amazing. It's on the lakeside with views of the mountains behind. The grounds are lovely. The staff are very welcoming. From the reception to the brasserie and the housekeeping staff- they are all extremely helpful and pleasant to meet. A special mention to Edel on the reception- I found her to be very pleasant and lovely to deal with. She gives the impression that she really enjoys her job and that makes it even nicer for the guests.
We ate in the Brasserie, which was wonderful. Fantastic views out of every room in the place! The bar was also lovely (albeit a little expensive as far as cocktails go...). The breakfast is amazing - wonderful selection and great service- it's served in the panorama restaurant so the views are spectacular.
The hotel is only about 5/10 mins from Killarney town. We got a taxi in on one night and it cost us €12.
The room we stayed in was a lake view room and had a lovely balcony. The moon shining on the lake at night was just breathtaking! The room and bathroom were immaculate. Free bottled water in the room and free seamless wifi all over the hotel (no stupid codes or room numbers or 'one device only') - everything you need is just there, no hassle. So many 5 star hotels don't offer free wifi or water in your room and its the little things that can annoy you into not returning. In the Europe hotel it's all just simple and convenient.
The gym area is huge! Different rooms with different equipment (a whole room of exercise bikes, a separate one for treadmills etc and a separate one for weights etc.) My husband thinks its the best gym he has ever been in!
The spa is massive (although I didn't have any treatments). I did use the pool and the vitality pool. We were very lucky as the weather was lovely for our trip. Although this hotel would be lovely any time of year. The outdoor part of the vitality pool is a real treat. With the lovely views of the lake and mountains and lavender blooming beside you in the garden. Just paradise. We waited until 12 on the dot to check out. Only wished we could have spend another couple of days. Cannot wait to go back someday!

Room Tip: The lakeview room we had was amazing. The room itself was lovely and the views were so beautiful!

On a recent visit to friends who live in Killarney and recommended that we have Lunch in The Hotel Europe. As we entered the Hotel we were very impressed with the beautiful Reception/Lounge and the views were stunning. As it was a beautiful sunny day we decided to have Lunch on the Veranda. This was most enjoyable. The food and service was excellent and we really enjoyed the experience. The staff were polite, friendly and efficient. I would love to revisit maybe for Dinner or an overnight stay when I'm next in the area to experience some more of the facilities and the stunning views..
