Had a fantastic stay at Riad des Artistes. The owner and the staff were all lovely and the location is amazingly peaceful but right in the middle of the old town. Dinner was beautiful when we dined in, and we had breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace with excellent pancakes, fruits, beads, jams, coffee and mint tea. The layout of the place is brilliant, with sofas and books on the balcony walk-ways and an open courtyard with orange trees. The decor, like the service, is truly marvellous compared with other Riads in a similar price range. Eric the owner was always happy to help with information and advice, and clearly has a genuine interest in the local culture. When we asked about excursions he hooked us up with an excellent driver who took us on a day trip, drove very safely and really looked after us. Having had previous mediocre experiences with overcrowded Riads, hard selling owners and overbooking scams, it was an absolute pleasure to arrive at this place which really felt like home. Highly recommended.
