Just back from a weeks stay at Riad des Artistes in the heart of The Medina. Had the most lovely time. The staff were amazing. Always there if you needed something but otherwise very quiet and unobtrusive. Had breakfast a couple of times on the terrace which was lovely and dinner once in the beautiful dining room. Would highly recommend eating in one night as food excellent. We stayed in the Vares room which is on the upper floor in the corner. Lovely room, traditional decoration, good shower and enormous stone bath. Had the best of sleeps. Eric, the French owner, was extremely hospitable and clearly loves living in Morocco and running the riad. I really wanted to visit the Atlas Mountains but wanted a recommended driver rather than some random unknown. Eric was able to arrange this. Driver was brilliant and even drove into the dessert for the experience and negotiated a camel ride when we spotted one. I would definitely stay here again. Great place. Great location.
