I stayed at Amnougour for two nights in April 2013 as part of a group of birdwatchers (age 50-80+). Having read the previous reviews I was a bit concerned about what we might find, but we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The relatively basic country hotel is in the Ourika Valley, and the views from the terrace along the valley are wonderful. We also saw some excellent birds from the terrace! The staff were very friendly and keen to please, and the tagine dinners in their dining room were excellent, especially the chicken. Breakfast on the terrace was typically Moroccan, ie omelettes, bread, jam, coffee, orange juice. The rooms were rather cold, although there were heaters which were effective, and the beds were not especially comfortable. Also they were down several flights of stairs which was a bit of an issue for some. Overall, however, I think the location/welcome/food more than compensated for the rooms. Other groups were using the hotel too and I think it was ideal for our purpose.
