First up, its a Pub, or more accurately a Beer Barn. It's Big.
Got a Fat Yak on tap and a glass of local wine for my wife, good prices and good wine selection. Fat Yak was not too fresh tasting, the wine OK.
I ordered Pork Belly, and my Wife ordered Risotto. Both were slam average Pub Grub. On the pricey side.
But - the most memorable event of the evening!!!!!
We were sat underneath one of the many, many big screen TVs. No biggie, the sound was off, and we could not see the flicker as we were underneath it. A waitress came up and told us (not ask us if OK) that another table had asked for the sound on our TV to be put up. So we ended up with sound blasting out from the TV about a foot above our heads. Go figure. So we had to move. We then took stock, there was:-
Piped Music playing
Our Big Screen TV playing
And yet ANOTHER Big Screen TV channel playing
Behind the bar there is a sign saying ' No Shots, no Doubles'. Presumably this is to stop trouble. My take?? If anyone with any degree of 'twitchiness' or ADHD were to walk in to that mad vat of sound, there would be shenanigans forthwith as some people just could not cope :-)
