“great family accomodation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2014

we were upgraded to a townhouse which couldn't have been more suitable for us. the townhouse was immaculate and very family friendly.it was very well stocked in the kitchen to allow easy self catering. rooms were spacious and bathroom well set out. lovely newly renovated interior. beautiful little courtyard allowed the kids to run for a bit while we relaxed. beds, pillows and recreational furniture were very comfy. office staff were very inviting and friendly and accommodated everything we needed without question. we will definitely be back :)

Room Tip: townhouse #4 is perfect for a family!

We stayed here as we were going to A Day on the Green so really convenient as coach picked up from hotel. Easy to check in and friendly staff. Room was big, bathroom a little dated but clean, would have liked a more powerful shower, temperature was temperamental and the wall hair dryer burnt out when switched it on but staff very receptive to concern and offered alternative hair dryer. Room was clean, basic tea and coffee facilities and toaster in room. Bed was firm and comfortable. The room we stayed in was a little noisy from the road, the outer door could use some draft seal tape to reduce the gap and assist noise reduction. I would stay again but would ask for a different room further set back from the road.

Room Tip: Further set back from road

Don't be fooled by the dated entrance/exterior of this property. We stayed for 2 nights in a recently renovated room and the whole experience was great. From the friendly, warm greeting on check-in, to the clean & comfortable room with new bathroom, our stay was excellent value for money. The bed was comfy, with clean, crisp linen. The towels were fresh and changed each day. A great sized shower, with good pressure and constant hot water. Fridge, kettle and toaster meant we could enjoy snacks/breakfast in the spacious room, which came complete with a decent sized TV, Foxtel, air-con and a table and chairs to sit at (as well as being promptly cleaned each morning). The only down-side was having to drive in to town (bit far to walk), but everything else made up for this fact. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone wanting quality, well-priced accommodation.

Room Tip: Ask for a renovated, queen room and you won't be disappointed.

Nice rooms, clean and quiet with friendly and helpful staff. My bed was a bit firm but otherwise not a bad place. Would stay again if I'm in Mudgee though something on the main street or closer would be better as it's quite a nice place to take a walk after dinner. Definitely worth the money.

Nice rooms, clean, well located, and quiet with friendly and helpful staff My bed was a bit firm but otherwise not a bad place. The attached restaurant was reasonable and very convenient. Would stay again if I'm out that way. Definitely worth the money.

From the exterior it reminded me of the 70's however in our renovated room it was modern, spacious, clean and comfortable.
Lovely, fluffy, white bath towels, good sized mirrored wardrobe and a clean although noisy fridge. I was happy to see that the shower room had a vanity with a cupboard underneath to keep our toiletries tidy and hidden.
I would recommend this Motel especially for a family who like the comforts at an affordable price.

Greetings to you all at The Lodge, Mudgee.
A note to confirm our appreciation for all aspects of our stay in your care - 28th October to 1st November, 2013.
The neatly manicured garden and the welcome atmosphere of Room 11 caused our first gasps.
The unique pleasure of our stay was enhanced by the friendliness, and professional standards of every member of The Lodge management and staff. For which we thank you.
So much of the magic came from the good-will of our Coach Captain, Director, Andrew Douglas and his magnificent vehicle "Arabella". In his care, everything blended so well together. So many reminders to refresh our appreciation of neighbours to the West..The noise and chatter quietened as we safely approached home again.
Yours sincerely,
Tony and Esme Smith.
