“Renovated rooms, great service and breakfasts”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

The Lodge was so good our 2 night became a 3 night stay.We have stayed in Mudgee twice before at another motel and a B & B and feel The Lodge is very good. value

Our room was newly renovated - new bathroom, carpet, HD TV (with plenty of channels), comfy bed and leather chairs. Betty and Peter were great hosts and the staff very efficient and friendly. The renovated trooms were $125 -135 per night, good value in Mudgee. (Not all room have been renovated - see room tips.) Both the cooked breakfast and continental were very good and reasonably priced at $15 and $8.The motel has its own bar and restaurant but we met up with family each night in town and did not try them. The location, about 1.5km from the centre of town involved a short drive , a $7 taxi fare or a leisurely stroll.

Mudgee is a great country town with plenty of things to do for tourists so it was an easy decision to stay for another night rather than move on to the Blue Mountains.

Room Tip: Best rooms are the renovated ones Nos 33-39

I needed to get a group of runner accommodated for one night, and my numbers were fluid at best. Betty not only held rooms of many different configurations while I finalised numbers she swapped, reduced and added numbers time and time again with no complaint until we got our 11 rooms sorted. The pre arrival customer service was excellent. On arrival we were met with a great smile and a box of keys ready to go - the refurbed rooms were top notch, the others understandably a work in progress and the price reflected that. They put on dinner for us with a mix of pasta and steak, all of which cooked perfectly and there was plenty of it. The friendly service continued. The next day we had people running for up to five hours and Betty provided rooms with late checkout with no extra charge or strict timeline so we could shower and change before heading back to Sydney. We could not have asked for more and will be back next year. Thanks team.

This motel is undergoing refurbishment. Will be interesting to see the changes when finished. Room was small, pretty much a square block, small window. Glad we were only there for one night. Bed was comfy. No road noise even though on a main road. Was expensive for what you got.

Good hotel, clean and spacious. Meals OK and service very good. Nothing to complain about. Not for honeymooners but good enough for everyday business.

we stumbled across mudgee motor inn by accident. we were booked in to a near by motel and when we turned up there was no booking for us and there were no vacanceys as they were completly booked. highly discusted we needed to stay in mudgee for buisness, and went to the nearest motel.
Thats when we come across the mudge motor inn. the reception staff were so friendly and extreamly helpful.the rooms were basic but very comfortable. Beautiful fresh white linen and freshly painted rooms. The continental breakfast was an added bonusand the owner actually sat with us while we had breakfast and chated about his planes for the motel. next time we are in mudgee we will book with the mudgee motor inn.

we were invited to a wedding in Mudgee for the long weekend in June 2011. As soon as we received the invitation I booked with the Manager over the phone three months before the wedding. I also confirmed the booking on email.

On 7th May I get a phone call asking if I am still taking the room. I confirmed yes, definately.

On 28th May, only two weeks before the wedding I think - I just better phone and check/confirm.

they had no record of the booking and did not give a rats a....

I then had to phone around and find accom for a long weekend.

What sort of a business is this place......??? How slack !!!!!

NEVER BOOK WITH MUDGEE MOTOR INN

Good value for price paid. Owners are friendly and they are slowly renovating. Beds and quilt covers were new and modern. Stayed at motel during a busy weekend full of National Trust members. Motel complex coped well with a full house.
