“Very nice hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

Exclusive private location on top of a hill, closely connected to the old town by a hanging bridge(the view from the bridge is nice with the autumn colours). Room is spacious and the whole hotel ambience is just great. Breakfast is excellent. Cuenca is a beautiful place and an overnight there is a must to truly appreciate the old town charm.

It is like staying in a stateley home! Beautiful atmospheric building, an old convent, perched high above a gorge with fantastic rock formations which are beautifully illuminated at night. Great views of the hanging houses - there are only three or so which actually hang over the gorge, but the other buildings are perched perilously on top of it. The old footbridge gives easy access to the old city. Stayed two nights which was enough to see everything in Cuenca, but all around are fantastic gorges reminiscent of the Grand Canyon in America, a "must visit", as are the amazing rock formations in the "Enchanted City" about an hours drive away on deserted roads.
The lovely breakfast (and the lovely room it is in), and the friendly helpful staff also deserve mention.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the footbridge have the best views but are a little more expensive. If one of the...

The parador is a Coventry converted to a hotel in a splendid location with best views to the old city of Cuenca with the casas colgadas.
The building is nice, the rooms are spacious, the infrastructure is a bit outdated in general. The bed is good, the pillow not ideal in my opinion. We had a room in the 3rd floor with great view on the old town. The room was clean, the service friendly both at reception and room service. The restaurant offers a good breakfast and dinner.
All in all we had a nice stay and would go back.

The Parador is located a little out of the main old city. You get to the old city via a foot bridge. It has the most amazing view of the hanging houses. The walk into the old city is short and easy. We did it lat at night to go to a bar and were perfectly safe, and back in our room in a reasonable amount of time. The rooms are large and comfortable. The breakfast is amazingly good. I would return in a heartbeat. I wish all the hotels I stayed at during this trip were like this.

Great hotel with wonderful view and nearby the city-centre of Cuenca. You need to have strong nerves when passing the small bridge from the parador to the city, but this is, at the same time, the charming point of the visit. The service is excellent and the inside is very cosy.

Great views of the hanging houses. Easy to walk over the bridge into town. Well situated for visiting the many natural attractions nearby - such as Ciudad Encantada and the springs. Typical parador standards. Well recommended.
