“A peaceful break with fabulous service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2009

We have just returned from a week's stay at the Hotel Cala Sant Vicenc, and have nothing but praise for the hotel's location, rooms, hotel ammenities and the extremely high level of service.

We travelled with another family and in total were 4 adults and 3 children (aged 11, 11 and 9). We booked the duplex double rooms which were located in the lower floors near the gym. The rooms were comfortable, cool and nicely decorated in a rustic spanish style. All of the room facilities were in good working order, particulalry the air conditioning and we were pleased as it was extremely hot during our stay.

Linda and her team (including Sebastian, Sam, Pep, Pau, Jaume, Pili and Juana amongst others) were all excellent and made sure all our needs were catered for. They recommended excursions, booked restaurants, organised sunbeds at the beaches and arranged a sunset sailing trip - all were excellent choices and they did so without fuss (even though we changed our minds several times). We spent a long time looking for hotels on the island of Mallorca and I am happy to say that the Cala Sant Vicenc did not disappoint.

The quality of the food, particularly at breakfast time, was superb. There were several times when the kids got up late and would come down for breakfast after 11 (the closing time), and not once did they make a fuss about our tardy eating habits! The lunches by the poolside were very good indeed, not to mention the sangria. Although we did not get a chance to eat at the hotel's main restaurant at dinner time, it has a very high reputation - we did try to book on our last night but unfortunately it was full.

I would recommend this hotel to most people and types of travellers, except for those that are looking for a large hotel environment or those looking for a party atmosphere. It is a quiet and relaxing hotel in a quaint part of the island, perfect for those looking to get away and de-stress.

Hotel Cala San Vicenc in Mallorca is situated in the very picturesque north of the island, near two beautiful bays with mountains and pine trees as the backdrop. The hotel also has its own private gardens and swimming pool. The rooms are of a high standard and serviced twice a day (change of towels, fresh bed linen, complimentary mineral water etc). We stayed in a junior suite with comfortable, wide beds, plenty of space and a lovely balcony.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and the hotel has a warm intimate feel about it. There are two restaurants - a la carte and a Tratoria - both of which are excellent. There is also a superb choice, both hot and cold, for breakfast.
All in all we had a most relaxing stay and can't wait to return.

My husband and I have just returned from this beautiful hotel - our first visit, but definitely not our last. It has spotlessly clean rooms, good food, friendly attentive staff and little extra touches, such as champagne on arrival and sorbet round the pool. The quiet, tranquil atmosphere of both the hotel and the town would not suit everyone but, for us, it was perfect.

My wife and I have just returned from Cala Sant Vicenc Hotel Mallorca ( what I should say is just returned from our third visit this year). We have been going to this hotel since 1997 for at least two visits a year. Now I am very fussy when it comes to hotels they must have a warm friendly atmosphere,be spottlessly clean and good food.Hotel Cala ticks all the boxes and more.As soon as we walk through the large wooden front door you receive the warmest of welcomes from the staff ( and that is not just the welcome you get if you go often) This place is just great and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
Have a look at their webb site and see for your self hotelcala.com.

Warm ,welcoming staff. From Lynda the manageress, down to the room staff, the reception was always the same -courteous and friendly, making you feel as if you were a guest in their own home.
Facilities all very good, food excellent, and room service great.
We would not hesitate in recommending it.
Congratulations.

We have just recently returned from staying at this hotel and had a wonderful time. We love Mallorca, having stayed in a nearby resort 5 years ago and it felt the perfect location for a short getaway this time round.

We arrived at the hotel late into the evening and were met with a warm & friendly welcome and shown to our room, which was spacious, clean and well equipped. After a quick refresh we headed to the more informal of 2 restaurants attached to the hotel; the first serving A la carte and the second, entered on the street level, a small trattoria serving pasta and pizza dishes. That first beer and the food were wonderful and we could feel the muscles start to relax into holiday mode.

Breakfast is served in the same area as the a la carte restaurant and it is possible if the weather is fine (which for Oct was mixed) to sit out on a lovely shaded patio area. You have a great choice of food to chose from; cereals, fruit salad, meats and cheeses, yoghurt, and of course a selection of cooked breakfasts. Some of the meat section was a bit hit and miss and the milk for both coffee and cereal was more full fat than we are used to (floaty bits in the coffee are never good) but overall it set you up well for whatever the day had ahead.

And our first day consisted of lounging by their wonderful pool. Its crystal clear water was so refreshing to swim in and not overly chlorinated. The pool furniture is solid and stylish wood and you collect a towel from a small shelf as you head out from the bar area. What struck us was how quiet the surrounding neighbourhood was. We sat and read and sunbathed and felt a million miles away (although it could have been due to the tail end of the season). We had lunch at tables set near the pool and again the food served was very tasty. Nice sandwiches, excellent squid rings, and various specials (including catch of the day type dishes) all washed down with some very well selected wines.

All the staff in the hotel were friendly and polite and happy to assist. They have maps of the surrounding area should you wish to explore. 2 walks are available; one to Puerto Pollenca and another a steady walk up a path built by Spanish Civil War prisoners which gives you fantastic views over the bay.

I would happily give this hotel the full 5 stars but the resort its located in is a strange mix. The dominating Don Pedro hotel on one of the beaches is a ghastly eyesore and probably why we were happy to spend our time at our poolside. There are a few restaurants dotted around, the highlight being Cal Patra, behind Hotel Niu, serving wonderful sea food. Inland, Pollenca is in easy reach with its great selection of restaurants.

Overall I would happily recommend Hotel Cala San Vicenc for its stylish appearance, its friendly staff and a wonderul pool. It delivered excatly what we asked of it and made us feel wonderfully relaxed and a little special too.

My husband and I have just returned from a lovely week at the hotel. We travelled with my mother-in-law who is a repeat guest and who recommended the hotel to us.
Our room (a suite) was spacious and kept clean and tidy throughout our stay. We loved the extra touches - a half bottle of cava on arrival and fresh fruit in the room.
The food at the hotel is excellent - well worth paying the suppliment for half board which allows the option of dining in either of the 2 restuarants. We both loved the breakfast buffet - delicious.
Linda and the staff at the hotel where extremely helpful and obliging at all times. They made us feel that nothing was too much trouble which is refreshing.
The location of the hotel is ok -- Whilst it isn't on the beach it is only a few minutes walk from either of the pretty bays.
We would both love to return and have very little negative comments to make - The soundproofing between rooms isn't great and could, perhaps, be improved. However this is only a small point. Overall this is a lovely gem of a hotel providing excellent food and a very good level of service.
