Me and three others stayed at Simos Magic apartments 1 on the 2nd of June of which ended up being one night. There are really no words to describe our horrendous experience in booking this so called 'block of apartments'. Firstly arriving at the apartments we were greeted by having to enter a nightclub with our suitcases in order to receive a key, next to enter the block of unsafe apartments we could have been anyone from the streets entering the place! Next to tackle the pitch black stairs and corridor by which the bannister had fallen over on to the stairs and one of the girl had tripped as it wasn't visible. After taking all four of us to lift the bannister we had arrived at the door which had evidently already been broken into!

Findings once inside:
Dirty room
Dirty ancient beds suitable for only persons of 4 stone and no more
Dirty odd looking stains on towels
A creepy looking 'cubby hole' in the ceiling which on investigation contained KFC wrappers!
A balcony with area 50-50cm in which to stand
A toilet that did not flush
Plug sockets hanging from the wall

Having to endure one night at this place meant attending a night club whilst in bed, singing along to all songs and enjoying constant whistle blowing to the beat. Adding insult to injury this is workers accommodation charging 250 euro a month ! and these individuals were shouting and banging on our already broken into door.
Feeling very unsafe and having about 1 hour sleep; 4 concerned girls entered reception in order to raise our concerns, doing this were threatened by a lady on reception who was shouting and stating its 'us English' that do this! Forcefully she tried to lock me and my sister in her reception saying we were rude. Politely we suggested we pay for the one hellish night which we stayed in this place however she was not happy with this and attempted to round up 4 other Cypriot men to threaten us in to pay. Consequently we payed the money to this horrendous place and people threatened and scared what might happen to us.
Please read and take seriously never ever stay here!!!!

So we live in cyprus and decided to go for a night to agia napa, so we needed a place to stay, we managed to book the simos magic apartments 1 on booking.com

So lets start with the positives or positive

Location, right opposite Senior Frogs and just off the main bar strip.

Negatives

Disgusting and dirty.
Beds which should only be used as Medieval torture devices (in fact were probably made back then)
Other beds legs falling off or broken
Shower doors hanging off
Mould in shower
Fridge which works to cool but also acts as a heater for the room
Outside a bucket catching dripping water from the level above
Curtains which if they were anymore transparent couldnt let more sunlight in at 4am
No one available to complain to about anything.

Ive literally seen better dog kennels than this place

The only magic part of Simos Magic Hotel Apartments is how its actually still standing!!!

Avoid Avoid Avoid.

I will be filing a formal complaint with the Cyprus Tourist Organistion to have this place closed down.

My Fiancee and I have just come back from a little trip to Ayia Napa, Cyprus and decided to book a night in our travels at the Simos Magic Apartments 2. I had booked a Studio Apartment with balcony for 60 euros and on Booking.com and was sent close up images of the room before and after i booked.
When we rocked up to the hotel we were firstly asked for the money before we even had a chance to put our bags down!! something told me see the room first- Lucky I did because we were then taken outside the building and away from hotel and up to this small 'garden Shed' looking hut and was told this is our room. Inside it was this dirty, mould-smelling shed that was completely separate from the hotel, and very badly secured with just wooden shutters to protect you. I was so angry that they had attempted to give this room to us without any explanation.
I immediately went and explained to the lady at desk that this was not the studio apartment with baclony I had booked, which before I could finish was answered with- 'Sorry we all booked out', meaning that they had sold my room to somebody else.
I was then asked to speak with owner who blamed Booking.com for not showing new pics online of the 'shed'. which was completely irrelevant as at the Point Of sale had purchased the Studio balcony room.
We were offered a small discount only because I had made a complaint, otherwise Im sure they wouldve taken the full amount. as we had checked in late we had no choice but to stay in the shed in the dirty insect-ridden room. The manager showed very little care about the matter &
even if I was offered a free room in the hotel part again the level of deciept and bad service would probably guarantee a horrible stay... RIP-OFF MERCHANTS!!
Also- the room said it came with Air-conditioning; Dont be fooled! you will have to order and pay extra for it...

although we were at the hotel over the road, Electra, which was great. we spent a lot of the time in simos, the food was first class and big enough portions to feed my husband, and a good price. the hotel looked nice although i never saw the rooms, pool and location were wonderful. staff always cheerful and friendly, i will be trying to book this hotel for next year,
