“Fantastic 3* holiday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2013

Got back a few days ago from a week in Macronissos village club, I travelled with my partner, our son, who is almost 2 and the in laws and we all absolutely loved it!
The whole place was spotless, I had read the odd review about cockroaches so was quite apprehensive but we saw one cockroach the whole time we were there and that was by the pool. The maids were brilliant, they tidied every day and even washed up for us if we left the odd thing out! Fresh towels every other day too, which was brilliant. The kids pool was perfect, it was a great size and my son was in there constantly, the adults pool is great too and doesn't get too deep. There is an outdoor childrens play area on site which was good but the equipment got a bit too hot in the day with the sun being on it.
The staff were lovely and friendly and always happy to help. My parter is half Cypriot and had to get an exit visa to be allowed back out the country and they were extremely helpful about where to go to get this and how to get there etc.
For us the location was perfect. A short taxi/bus ride to Ayia Napa (just under 10 mins), taxi costing 10euros and bus just being 1.50euros. We went into the town most nights as we aren't ones to really watch entertainment in hotels. They have a fab funfair which is great for little ones, it's free to get in and they have a big indoor play area with a bouncy castle, which is also free and my son loved going here. The closest beach was macronissos beach, which was just under a 10 minute walk. This was perfect for familys as it wasn't too busy and there were many watersports there to choose from that were a lot cheaper than nissi beach. We walked to nissi beach one day and it was beautiful but not very family friendly.
The food is difficult to review, for a 3* it was good, there was always a vegetarian option, a fish option and at least 2 different types of meat options with a salad bar and veg. The majority of what we ate was really nice, we just felt that it would have been better if there was more of a selection. The restaurant was also very hot as they didn't always put the fans on in there. We ate out a couple of nights and the best place was just next door to the hotel, a restaurant called 'the garden of eden' we had a fantastic Meze there :)
Overall it was a fab holiday for a 3* resort and I would recommend.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for the week self catering. At first we thought our bungalow was quite outdated but it was spotless. The maids came around cleaned for us on a regular basis changed sheets, blankets and new towels etc. As we where self catering we mostly ate breakfast and diner over at macs bar/restaurant and the food was exceptionally good and the service was top notch. The only problem we had was that the hotel was a bit outside of the Ayia Napa night life and it was 10€ taxi down to Ayia Napa and 10€ back. We ended up sharing taxi's with people we met there and it worked out very cheap. We also hired a quad bike from easy riders which was €80 for 3 days and €5 filled the tank which kept us for the 3 days no problem. We mostly used it for trips down to Nissi Beach and down into Ayia Napa for shops and meals.

I would stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: I would recommend a room close to the pool as we had.

Me and my partner stayed here for a week in August, we had a great time and would recommend to any couple looking for a nice relaxing holiday with the choice of going into the nightlife if you wanted. the food was ok but wasn't much choice, but the place as a whole was great, good entertainment, the swimming pool was nice and clean, waterpolo was great, we hired quad bikes and that was lovely way to catch the sun! everyone was nice and friendly and spoke excellent english. would go and visit again for sure!

Room Tip: Block 7 is quite loud because your so close to the entertainment part, so if your a light sleeper as...

Just came back from two weeks holiday in August. There was eight in our party. The flights to & from Gatwick we couldn't fault. The food was very good, the only thing on the second week it was a bit repetitive, always a choice from fish ,meat & pasta. plus salads & vegetables. Dessert's were from cake fruit and always ice cream. Breakfasts were typical English. Maid Services everyday except Sundays. Entertainments were good most nights. And the last thing is, the only place that I can remember for a few years where you can look for 4 sunbeds at 11.00 am and find them. But just one thing only air-conditioning in the bedrooms.

we stayed here august 2013 a last minute holiday. excellent service from the second we checked in to the second we checked out.first impressions of the complex were a little outdated but i can assure you once we got in our studio we couldnt fault it nice and clean plenty of space maid service good. we stayed all inclusive but you could go self catering or half board you could upgrade once you got there if you wanted for a reasonable price. we went for our evening meal it was great not alot of choice but plenty of hot food staff were always about moving empty plates as soon as they were finished with all spoke really good english. The entertainment crew were fantastic plenty to do no matter what age group always on hand to make your holiday as good as possible. Plenty of sunbeds, kids club, sports for the adults and kids during the day as well as in the evening. The black pearl boat trip a must for all. Would recommend this holiday club to all our friends cannot wait to go back.
