“Avoid at all costs! You will be stolen from!”

After reading the reviews for the tsokkos holiday apartments to say I was worried is an understatement. If only I had known what was to come...

Our room was in the reception block which is relatively clean although very basic. After speaking to others in the dreaded blocks 4 and 5 we heard stories of unlockable doors and windows, dirty sheets, filthy rooms and toilets with no seats smeared with urine and faeces. Unacceptable conditions not worthy for animals to sleep in.

The pool area has been described as amazing when in fact is pretty average. Pool was dirty the whole time we stayed at the hotel, filters had not been turned on once!

Upon arrival we was offered 1 key between two of us, not knowing anything about a spare key available. This spare key was later handed out to thieves who proceeded to steal all my clothes bar a few pairs of shorts. They also stole make up, shoes and other personal belongings. If we had not used the hotel safes we would have been left with nothing.
We reported this to reception who called the police for us, although we are still unsure if we actually spoke to police officers or the night receptionists mates! Police didn't even check our room and would not give us a crime number.
Once we started telling other guests about our things being stolen the hotel staff could not wait to get rid of us. Rude and aggressively shouting at times.

We did not feel safe in this hotel one bit especially as someone still has the keys to our room. We moved onto tsokkos anmarie hotel on the night of the burglary staff here could not of been more helpful.

I would not recommend these apartments to anyone who doesn't want thieves rifling through their stuff, unhelpful staff and dirty living conditions!!

We arrived on a Sunday after reading reviews we were quite scared as to what to expect but upon checking into our room we were pleasantly surprised. It wasn't anywhere near as awful as we thought (we were in the good block, or so we thought) we were told that other blocks had no toilet seats, no locks on doors, dirty, poo smeared up walls etc.
On day 3 we returned to our room to find a lot of items missing including over half of my friends clothes, shoes and make up was also taken. We reported to reception immediately who were very quick to defend themselves. No signs of forced entry patio door locked and window locked. Whoever came in had come in using a key.
Each room has two keys of which we were only given one the spare is left hanging in reception unattended which we didn't know until after we were robbed. We contacted police who came but weren't particularly helpful.
Basically reception had either given our spare key out to someone posing as us... Or someone took it when reception was unattended or it was an inside job.
Apparently this happens a lot here... Book into a hotel don't stay here unless you want to be robbed and fobbed off!!!!!

Booked this as a last minute cheap getaway, although a bit concerned by the variation in other reviews. Hotel check in was quick and efficient as we were first to get served by the receptionist. Allocated room in block 9, 2 mins walk via pool area. Music was going strong even at 3.00am although there were only a handful of other guests in outside bar. Was quite glad not to have a poolside balcony for once, although balcony to the rear was facing into trees and not really suitable for sitting out in. Room was good size with kitchen / sitting area and twin beds with adequate storage area for clothes. Didn't use the S/C facilities so can't comment on how / if they worked. We had a fitted air con unit in the bedroom so no need to hire. Rooms / bathroom were clean and bedding / towels changed twice during week.
Pool area had ample loungers and canopy beds about. Several places to sit under cover from sun available. Main pool looked a little dirty in places and didn't see any sign of being cleaned during trip. Bar was well stocked and bar snacks were okay. All staff were pleasant and polite especially the bar team.
Believe this would be a completly different venue during peak season, and billboard at pool area would support this. Definatley an 18-25 venue from June - Early Sept. Only the main bar was open, several others and the shop were closed.
Music was blasting out from the early hours, still catering for a younger crowd although during our trip there were never more than 30 guests present.

Big plus is location is excellent, few minutes walk from very good restaurants and similar in other direction to bar strip area. Nearest beach is about 10 min walk away. Taxi to Nissi Beach is 7 Euro. Small supermarket directly across from front door.
On checking out there were a few guests complaining about items being stolen from rooms, but we did not experience anything like this.

Whilst waiting to leave, next batch of gueats were checking in and there were some elderly guests amongst them who were unhappy to find no lifts available in any of the buildings although they are only 2/3 levels high.

Would consider staying here again, but only during Early / Late season when crowds have gone.

Room Tip: Choice appears to be a pool side balcony with music blasting 20 hours per day, or quiet room to the...

I went to Tsokos end of July 2012, in a group of 16 girls. Despite reading bad reviews, I literally could not care less about 'basic' accomodation, particularly in a place like napa where by day you are out at the pool / beach and at night at the clubs.. However even i was slightly disappointed when we arrived; the group had been split into 3 rooms at completely different ends of the complex, a good 5-10 min walk apart. (so if you do book here, my advice would be to request to be placed near your friends at the time of booking). I personally had been placed into the older block which seemed slightly abandoned - our room was the only room at the end of a dark corrridor.. the room was genuinely a sauna, the toilet didnt work and having booked a 4 bed apartment, we were actually given 1 double bed, and err.. 2 metal camp beds in the kitchen?! the kitchen area also didnt have air con meaning we had to move those 2 mattresses into the 1 bedroom, the only place cool enough to sleep once we had payed for aircon -which also broke regularly and had water dripping from it which made the beds damp. The cleaners would let themselves in far too early, about 8/9am ish, waking us up whilst we were all still sleeping. This seemed to be an excuse so they didnt have to change the bedsheets. the extent of her duties seemed to be dusting the walls / pretending to look busy and maybe emptying the bin if we were lucky - after requesting fresh towels many times, she would reply: 'maybe tomorrow but no promises.' I personally found the kitchen hilarious, having been advertised as a self-catering apartment, we were provided with 1 pan, 1 knife and 2 forks, and that was literally it! HOWEVER... we payed something amazingly cheap like £150 for 10 nights so i do think it was great value for money. The pool was also amazing for the party on thursdays..really do not miss out on this!! its so busy in a good way, buzzing atmosphere! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_msJbaH2QpA - enough said). not many places to sit around the big pool, but then you dont need to sit if your partying.. my other advice would be to not get a ticket for this though - they charged us 10 euro for a 'champagne party ticket' - as its an open pool you can just turn up. the 'champagne' ran out by about 4pm so we couldnt all claim the bottle we had paid for, so basically paid the money for one hawaiian floral garland.. food was quite cheap poolside, and the barman george at the smaller hotel was genuinely the biggest legend i have ever met, constantly playing out tunes and giving out shots! on the subject of pools and staff, really do not go into the pool at night!! its one thing they really do care about: Tazer Tim the guard, or Major Tazer as he became affectionately known would sit and watch the pool all night waiting for those drunk and staggering home to jump in..he would then run out and chase you around the pool / hold you up against the wall with a massive tazer gun in your face which was genuinely really terrifying.. oh and be prepared to be fined 50 euro too. good location though, just a short walk up the hill and you go past aqua (which isnt amazing) and then you are at castle club (which is amazing but really really hot). if you can live in slightly squalor conditions, tsokkos is definitely the one! if its anything to go by, napa 2012 was the best few days of my life and im going back in 2013 to do a season there - have already booked tsokkos for a few days holiday before looking for work so dont be put off! dont have high expectations and you wont be disappointed.

Room Tip: - Top floor rooms have massive balconies - Request newer apartment block as its more central and mo...

Im just back from two weeks in Napa, we stayed in two hotels over two weeks. Evabelle Napa on the first and Tsokkos on the second. Both amazing!!!

I thought i would write a review purely because after reading the reviews for the hotels i was terrified what i was going to when really there was absolutely nothing to worry about!

Evabelle was a lovely hotel rooms were clean and modern, bathroom wasnt the best but what can you expect. Music played at pool all day from 8am to 6am the next day... Not ideal if your trying to get a sleep before getting ready to go out (esp if you have a pool view )! Pool was great however we found there were quite alot of families at this hotel and wasnt as busy as we expected! Perfect location to the strip 5 mins walk and your at craigs bar... start of the strip! Restaurants are all a 5 min walk and the bus for nissi beach is a 2min walk and its 1euro each way.

Tsokkos on arrival was not the best but once we got aircon sorted and settled we loved it, out of the two i would definetly choose to go back here. We were in the older blocks which hadnt been updated but two of our friends were in the new block and the rooms were gorgeous. Bathroom was minging but liveable, and aircon was great :)
The pool atmosphere was amazing, its the best pool in napa (all the workers go there) so many young crowds of people and the party is forever going also the food at the pool bar is good and not that expensive. We had no problems with theft and didnt bother purchasing a safe and were fine we spoke to a few groups of guys and they hadnt had any problems either.
The location is perfect literally minutes away from the square and three doors down from pambos magic if you wana go to the Aqua afterparty (we preffered river reggae tho)!

We had originally booked up for pambos magic and after reading the reviews cancelled and rebooked (thats why we had to split our 2 weeks in 2 hotels). We went to pambos magic and seen a few peoples rooms that we met and i can honestly say it wasnt anywhere near as bad as i was expecting, the rooms are actually pretty decent. The pool is minging but if i stayed there i would just use Tsokkos pool!

Ayia Napa in itself is amazing i have been to Faliraki, Tenerife and Zante before and Napa is by far the best place i have ever been and will defos be going back for the summer next year :)

I would reccomend any of the 3 hotels i have mentioned and also Green Bungalows looked nice and had an amazing atmosphere.

When your out there Fantasy Boat, Party Hard bar crawl, Kandi Beach & Tsokkos Pool party are a must :) defos made our holiday!!!!

DO NOT be put off by other peoples reviews, its just people being picky, they honestly are not bad just dont expect 5* luxury!!

Room Tip: Pick higher floors and try not to have a pool view, music is really loud if you are trying to have a...

I have just returned from this accommodation and I can only say DO NOT GO THERE ! I was in a party of 7 girls for a week long party holiday. On returning from our first night out, we came into our apartment to find it had basically been ransacked ! Our mobile phones, ipods, camera's and cash had all been stolen. Our suitcases had been emptied, our handbags emptied and draws pulled out. Bear in mind we didnt leave our room until 1am and returned at 5am. We went to reception, who, to be honest were not really interested and told us that the police were busy with other things. They told us they'd be there at 7am. So, distressed, we waited up until 7am. 7am came and went so i went to reception again and asked where the police were only to be told again that the police were busy and they'd be there at 12 noon !!!! Not at any time did any member of hotel staff come to see our room or take any interest whatsoever. Eventually the police came and advised us that our room was the only one that had been "targeted" and that they felt that the thief was within the hotel grounds. This was our thought exactly. It would appear that the bedroom window (ground floor) had only been pushed closed - not locked, and as we went straight out after we arrived, we didn't even touch the windows ! Later that week, after meeting the lads in the next room, we told them of our theft and they went to check their windows..........only to find that their (ground floor) apartment window was also pushed closed. INSIDE JOB ????
So, i would really deter anyone from going to this apartment complex. Ayia Napa was great - the apartments and their staff.... Very much not.

ok, so we knew what to expect as this wasn't our first holiday like this, and we expected a simple room, and were happy as long as it was clean etc... there are two main tsokkos block, one with all the nice pictures you can see of a nice pool etc...there's another version across the road which is where we were put.... which is similar but with a much much much much much less fancy pool / sunbathing area.

overall it wasn't too bad apart from the bathroom which had a moldy roof, and upon arrival we found our shower curtain in a tree outside our balcony, and there are an awful lot of ants all over the apartments, but luckily we brought a bug repellent plug in, so we were ok! however, this wasn't our main issue, and we weren't really bothered about that.

we realized our door didn't lock.... / the lock was completely broken. we asked at reception, and maintenance was sent quickly, and his attempt to fix it was simply bashing it with a hammer. however, we thought it was fixed when he left, but nope! so over the course of 4 days we complained about 20 times, the receptionist were quite frankly not bothered at all! we had no luck so we spent our holidays moving a couch in front of the door every night so we would have some sort of warning against someone breaking in, which really is unacceptable considering that the tsokkos apartments are in no way the cheapest place to stay, yet the seem to be pretty much the same as the rest!

apart from this, we had a fab time mainly because we only slept in the room, and left the tsokkos village during the day opting for the beach instead, and obviously for the clubs at night! overall though ayia napa is great, and the pubs / clubs are really friendly! just a bit rubbish if you pick the wrong place to stay though! :(
