“January break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2014

We were 2 of 4 guests from uk staying in the hotel for 4 nights, beautiful hotel, very modern and minimalistic

Brief overview of our holiday
- Very friendly staff especially the manager Nikos who couldn't do enough for us (made us whatever we wanted for breakfast) as buffet was out of service due to only 4 guests in the hotel at the time
-we booked a superior room which was very clean and has an amazing rain fall shower with all the different lighting effects, bed was very comfy with memory foam mattress
-wifi was down so Nikos offered us an upgrade by showing us 2 new rooms, 1 which had a heated pool in so nice and 1 with jacuzzi in so white, we opted for the jacuzzi room and it wasn't a disappointment, he also fixed the wifi within a day
-main pool and bar was out of service due to winter maintenance (pool is normally closed out of season anyway) but we were not informed that the pool lighting was also out of service. This was quite disappointing because we were looking forward to seeing the lights and taking some great pictures around the pool
-there are many stray cats who walk around the hotel (probably normal for cyprus) we like cats but if you have an allergy to cats, this is just a heads up
-location is about 2 miles from main ayia napa square although there is an hourly bus service right outside the hotel which costs 1.50 Euros for a single journey to get to the square. Not many bars around, supermarket opposite hotel and all the bars in the main ayia napa square were also closed due to being out if season
-we hired a car which is recommended if you want to travel to places such as larnaca and Nicosia where it is a lot busier at this time of year. we paid 30 euros per day for the car but In the summer this would cost more

Overall we enjoyed staying and would love to come back in the summer to see the hotel in its full glory. The beach is only 2 mins walk from the hotel. If you are thinking of visiting this area out of season, do be aware it is very very quiet (but you might like this), we enjoyed it because it was very relaxing and we got treated like VIPs

Winter, 15 th of February. Its was the best decision to have a romantic evening!!! Lovely modern style of room and many colours to play with the light and follow your mood.... Shower very relaxing, give to us extra luxury pleasure. Amazing memory mattress feels like my body try a narcotic and want it again. Big thanks to staff, very polite and welcoming. Just food ... For 5 * should be better, we received upgrade so really its was we paid for. So general we give 4.5 and planning to come in summer days to enjoy the bars and beach.

What can I say. I got upgraded to a stunning room in So White. Extremely generous and fun staff and management. Rooms have 5 different LED colors (red, mykonos blue, yellow, lime). The design was forged in the boudoirs of erotism and I couldn't think of a better place to stay in Famagusta area in the summer (bar Grecian Park Hotel).

Regretfully, and I only say this as I wish to WARN possible clients who may come from abroad. The pool is out of service in the offseason sporting a fancy green touche ;) Breakfast is not seemly of such a place but the manager wooped me an incredible fetta omelet that more than made up for the spartan brekky.

If your intention, as was mine, is not the leave the room then go go go. If you are coming here in offseason to use the non bedroom facilities, then I do not advise it as much as I would like to say otherwise.

In short: 5*s for my purposes... less if you want some pool and sun ;@) How rude!

After our summer holidays here, we went back last week for a short break.
Another excellent stay, very relaxing, as the hotel was very quiet in November.
Weather was still perfect and swam in sea every day.
Usual high quality service from staff and management alike.
Thank you everybody !
Hopefully, will go back again next summer.

Stayed here 10 nights and found it good but not quite the 5* it wishes to be. I have mentioned all the following points to the hotel...

The staff are charming and helpful. The accommodation could not be described as suites; they are large bedrooms with space for a sofa and the ground floor has a small patio. My room was clean and comfortable, with a huge bed. It was also surprisingly quiet, which I appreciated. The lighting effects are fun and easy to use. Plenty of hanging space in the cupboard but not a single drawer or shelf so most of my clothes stayed in the rucksack for the whole time, which is not good. The hairdryer is in one of the cupboards, which means that the cable can't reach all the way out and it is very awkward to dry one's hair. Bet it was thought of and installed by a man who never uses a hair dryer! The tv was programmed in Russian...ok, the hotel has lots of Russian guests but the first option should be for the guest to choose which language they want their tv in. The first couple of days, I thought I had a simple sofa but suddenly it had cushions on the third day, while the belts for the bathrobes both disappeared!

Everything is linked to a movement sensor so if you sit reading or watching tv for too long, suddenly everything switches off, phones/laptops stop charging, which is really annoying.

In the bathroom, the shower is convoluted to say the least: an overhead rainforest installation, plus a hand held that had little power and took ages to warm up, or 2 sideways jets. There was no instruction...The best shower I had was actually at the pool on my last day, a real shower with a height adjustment rail, powerful and hot! Also in the bathroom, when on the loo, I could not reach the loo roll! I'm strictly average height so ended up putting a roll of paper on the basin in front of me. The towels were clean but obviously well used as some of them were no longer pristine white but that is not necessarily the hotel's fault.

Pool area is fantastic! The pool is about 30metres long and deep enough to swim but not dive. The pairs of mattresses on the raised platforms are super, or if you want some shade there are raised pavillions with moveable shutters. There is some waiter service for drinks from Nama bar but this does not appear to be a full time service. Toilets and shower at the pool are hidden down a flight of stairs but are really good, clean and working.

Nama Bar... looking from the pool all you see is a BARrier of bamboo poles, entrance is at the sides. It is not welcoming at all. They should open up the middle and have the poles curving out to make a crescent.

Blu restaurant: very good food and lots of it, always in a buffet. Lovely fresh salads and at least three meat choices as well as potatoes, rice and vegetables. Competent and friendly service. They have different background entertainment each night, Greek (owner's son is great guitarist) on Mondays, a Bulgarian (speaks Russian) magician for the children on Tuesdays, and a super jazz saxophonist on the Thursday that I was there.

The beach; people need to be aware that all beaches in Cyprus are municipal. It is not possible for the hotel to control who goes there or what condition it is in. The Golden Beach here is 2 small coves, very pretty but not spectacular, however, there are very good footpaths along the coast to other beaches and all the way into Agia Napa.

All in all, it was a good stay. It ticked almost all the boxes for me. I have no complaints, only suggestions for improvement, as I think this really could be a wonderful SMALL hotel. I heard from someone that they want to expand... PLEASE DON'T! The size now is perfect, work on the things you already have, get Cyprus soaps/creams instead of importing, install a gym/fitness room, spa, maybe using the beach club building that looks so neglected, opposite Nozomi, build gates to hide the gardeners' area and corners that don't look so good, but don't add rooms. More rooms would make the restaurant and pool to full and would spoil enjoyment for many.

Room Tip: All rooms appear to be good, the suites have private pools, try for a garden suite next to the pool.

Stayed here for 4 nights after getting married at the Olympic Lagoon Resort on 19th Sept.
We booked a room with a private pool, no steps etc to get in it! The staff were not that efficient, check in was awful, like they couldn't be bothered. Hotel is very modern etc but no attention to detail, bulbs not working etc, our sun loungers were tatty, not what you expect for the price you pay. Should have stayed at the Olympic where everything is pristine and staff are fab. Would not stay here again.
