“BEST WEEK OF MY LIFE!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

me and my friend went to ayia napa late august last year (2012) and it was seriously the best experience i ever could have had. as we were two girls aged 18 and 19 i was a little worried that it would be quiet but OMG our hotel was totally the place 2 BEEEEEE! we made friends with a big group of lads who were also staying here so we spent majority of the week with them. everyone always returned to our hotel after a night out and there were a few pool parties on. rooms are basic but what do you expect on a club 18-30s holiday! it was amazing that weve already booked to return late august this summer (2013). i would recommend going to ayia napa late august because a lot of clubs do end of summer discounts eg free club entry etc. the reps are quite sleezy and flirty but avoid it and you'll have an amazing time like we did. rooms were clean and we went self catering, there was a supermarket just a 2 minute walk away so we survived!:)

Room Tip: as soon as you arrive at the hotel go straight to reception and pay for your air con for the week, e...

We have stayed at the Christabelle, 5 times out of our 6 times to Cyprus. Michael (the owner) and his family, and other staff members, make you feel welcome on your arrival and throughout your stay. Anything you need, advice, service, etc, is always warmly given. The rooms are pretty much basic, but always clean, and linen is changed every day. The highlight of the stay has to be "SAM" the barman and general "odd job" man. He is a great guy, with a great sense of humour, who literally goes out of his way to help you and amuse you. In all our stays there, he was faultless. The hotel pool is of an average size, with plenty of sunbeds to go round. The pool bar has a few games machines in it to keep the kids occupied, pool table, etc, and the bar staff are always on hand to serve you with drinks and very reasonably priced food. The night time entertainment is very limited, mostly to karaoke and games for the kids, so we mostly ventured out for that. The hotel itself is nicely situated, up a backstreet just off the high street. This was ideal for us, as it was only a 5 minute walk to all the bars in Ayia Napa town square, so the night time noise in your room is very minimal. Right opposite the hotel you have a supermarket, so the walk back to your room for those that want to cook their own food, is short. Yiannis, the man next door to the hotel, who rents out mopeds and motor bikes is a lovely guy. Whether you need his services or not, he is always on hand for any travel advice you may need. He knows the whole island inside out. The beach is about a 15 minute walk away, or to Nissi Bay beach, (for us, the BEST beach on the whole island!) about 5 minutes in a cab. However, the walk to the beach is nice, where you can stop off at all the shops and bars on the way, or the monastery in the town square, and have a drink or look around. The hotel itself, is a typical 3 star hotel, no frills, but the cleanliness and freindliness of the staff make it worth the stay. I would reccomend it anytime. Enjoy!

Room Tip: We have stayed in most areas of this hotel and found all the rooms given, fine!

We stayed in may 2012 for a girls getaway just before the busy season. We were lucky to stay in the new block of apartments at the back of the bar. They were lovely and clean and everything was like new. Close to the strip of bars and a short taxi drive away to nissi beach which is lovely. Defiantly not for family's or a romantic getaway for couples though. It is ayia napa!

If your looking for a cheapish place to sleep after a night out, standard food and very good pool then come here!! Only problem is which isnt the hotels fault is that 1 your cant walk home on your own from night out safely and far from beach!! but taxi to beach is cheap!! Also if you sleep opposite the air con get a duvet out the wardrobe as it gets freeeeeezing. The man at the desk is also very friendly and helpful :)

Before I review the hotel... I have been reading many reviews of budget hotels in Ayia Napa and I'm getting the same vibe from families. As a resident of Cyprus, I know Ayia Napa is not the ideal holiday location if your looking for a peaceful break! Ayia Napa is rammed full of teenagers and 18-30s drunken louts so if your not there to get drunk and stay up all hours then maybe you should reconsider location altogether - for families who want nightlife without the drunks keeping you up all night, you should consider Protaras which is about 15mins drive from Ayia Napa!

I live in Limassol and in the summer we visit Ayia Napa a couple of times per month. I have stayed at some fairly average hotels, we generally look for the cheapest one as lets be honest, we wont be spending much time there! Christabelle is not the cheapest but if your looking for somewhere clean with a decent pool area, fairly priced bar serving local and imported drinks and light snacks with relatively good service from staff, then I would reccommend you stay here.

If your looking for peace and quiet at some point during your holiday, don't go to an Ayia Napa budget hotel!

That would be the worst hotel/apartmentos I've ever visited. Ants on the floors, cleaning was very poor, everything was really far away -especially beaches. The staff was pretty friendly, the pool was nice, these are the best things I can say. If you just try to find cheap place to sleep and stay all day somewhere else, that might be a good choice for you. If you like to enjoy your staying in the hotel area/room, don't choose this one.

Travelled with 8 other girls in July 2012, we expected the worst but when we arrived at the hotel every thing was amazing.
Arrived at around midnight and were checked in within about 10 minutes. Got given rooms 120, 121 and 127. All studios and so much better than anything we expected, very clean and had everything that we needed. Room 120 has a king balcony and is the one and only place for pre drinks! Get the air con!! Was so hot without it, 49 euros for the week and definitely worth it. Didn't bother with the safe because they were all kept in reception and as we were on the top floor we felt our stuff was pretty safe, nothing got stolen.
Went straight out on the first night, less than a 5 minute walk to the strip. Bombarded by club reps trying to sell us deals, just say no! Felt a bit lost at first but we soon settled in a bar and managed to get good deals between 9 of us.
Would definitely recommend Monkey Business and Square Bar! Both amazing, 6 euros for two cocktails, a shot and a fishbowl! All the bars close about 2 and everyone goes to the clubs. All of them are pretty expensive to get in and for drinks, Starskys defo my fave. 10/15 euros entry to most of the big clubs and drinks between 5 and 10 euros. If you survive the night then go to River reggae or Aqua which are the after parties and finish about 8/9am.
Expected the pool to be rowdy and busy but it never got too full and always managed to get sunbeds. Food around the pool was good and cheap and 2 for 1 cocktails! All of the staff were really friendly and dealt with all the drunk people well. Maids came to clean the room most days and happily cleaned up our drunken mess from the night before. There's a supermarket just by reception and has everything that you will need for the week.
Loads of places to eat in the square and nearer the beach. The best food by far was the pollo pizza, I already miss it. 2 euros for a slice, I would recommend getting a whole pizza. Snapy's is also good for drunk food on the way home, especially the "drumpsticks".
Seriously ignore all the bad reviews, this hotel and Ayia Napa are AMAZING.
Already planning to go again next year to the same hotel because we miss everything so much!
