This hotel is extremely well located as it is just outside of Aya Napa, the beach is great for kids as it is sheltered by a line of rocks outside and the sand is white and soft. Location is its biggest attraction. The bungalows were ok, quite spartan in terms of decoration (Ikea modern style furniture)...some Cypriot paintings on the walls would add some character. The crickets in the rooms made a terrible racket at night until we managed to hunt them down. The kitchenette is forbiddingly small....really only useful to heat food up in a microwave. The food in the main restaurant and the Greek Tavern was good (the breakfast was up to a five star standard). It is worth doing half board at least as it saves a long waiting time to be served as the main restaurant seems understaffed. The bungalow was not cleaned well enough in my opinion although they came every day. The water in the pool was suprisingly cold although the sea was still warm in this season. The program at the kids' club was very good (many arts and crafts activities) although the two ladies running it were not very communicative with the kids. Don't count on the minimarket to get all your baby food as they were out of stock (although they did say they could order things for the same afternoon). All in all I would say that the hotel was good but had room for improvement (temperature of the pool, cleanliness of the bungalows, understaffing of the restaurant)....one thing that irritated us was the quantity of cats and flies in the restaurant area (unsanitary)....the cats mainly being fed by other guests (children)....sign posts should be put up forbidding feeding as the hotel is quite overrun by cats.
We hired a car and visited the occupied area into Nicosia....be aware that you require passports to cross the border and will be asked to pay 20 euros for car insurance as there is no car insurance coverage on the occupied zone on Greek side rental cars.
Weather wise this island seems to be a haven for sun up until end October (we visited last week of October and had 27°C sea water and 25-30°C air temperature).....November seems to be fickle with intermittent rain showers but still pleasant temperatures. I would recommend the hotel although I would not rate it excellent (very much a family hotel).
