“Our Wedding- Nissi Beach Hotel November 1st 2013”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

Definitely should be a 5* (much better than the 5* down the road- I believe it's probably because they don't tick all the criteria, however, very clean, amazing staff, beautiful surroundings and exceptional food)

We didn't see the venue before we booked our wedding. Marios, the hotel manager, couldn't have been more efficient. Every email I sent, Marios responded either that day or as soon as possible. He continued to answer all my (many) questions before arrival which built my confidence in the hotel.
On arrival, we were greeted with a drink and cooling towels- perfect. We were upgraded to the best suite in the hotel and then had champagne arrive to our room in seconds. Believe it or not, it then gets better from there.

The venue was simply stunning....my hubby and I couldn't believe how well kept the gardens were (we own a landscaping company so we pleasantly surprised). We arrived on Sunday, met with Marios on Tuesday morning after the Town hall- we paid for everything then and were introduced to Caroline who took all my favours, table settings, places, games I had organised for the bar (straight after the service). I then spoke to Frank, who organised the music for the ceremony and was just lovely. He did exactly what I had asked for. All my items were returned back to me the following day. So from Tuesday 12pm- I could relax and soak up the sun before the big day on Friday. Friday came, I was woken with champagne at 8am (my friends organised this) and the magical day began. We booked Jill and Simon Hack for our photography, who were a lovely pair- made us feel at ease and managed to keep up with all the demands that we asked for- thank you so much Simon and Jill- you are a lovely couple and added to the perfection of the day. They arrived at 11am to take some getting ready shots. We had 10 people getting ready in the Beach Suites and there was plenty of room. We finished getting ready and Chris knocked on our door at 1.45pm to take us through the back route of the hotel. Chris was very firm in his demeanor but was lovely with it. He definitely made sure the day ran to time and smoothly.

The registrar was short and sweet and we had added our own readings from our good friends and one of our friends sang which the hotel sorted out the microphone for us, again great job.

We then had photos, where our guests drank at the bar- played games and ate canapes (my only one piece of advice is that the canapes were served as a buffet and guests took too much, thinking it was the main food- this would have been perfect, had it been served on trays to the guests)

Well let's talk about the food...oh yes before we do... let's tell you about the enchanting walk to the Rondavel....they had placed beautiful candles around the outside and put a ribbon (we had asked for) across the entrance so we could cut this and greet all our guests before they sat down for the main meal. The food was AMAZING- we paid 55euros for the BBQ Buffet- we had lots of beautiful salad to choose from, very tasty halloumi, all the meat you could ask for (and die for) and so, so much of it. The puddings were perfect which got us ready and in the mood for the dancing. Jorden and I had special service from the staff and all the staff were great with all the guests. We danced until midnight (The hotel's d.j played all the music we had requested) and Jorden and I walked along the beach, arm in arm, as a newly married couple...having had the most perfect day we could have ever asked for.

We booked treatments in the spa for the day before our wedding, the massage was amazing, we are very sporty people and it was very firm (just what we had asked for). We booked the his and hers package (85 euros) where we had time in the sauna and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was a bath with jets so not as great as I would have expected but still relaxing) Sauna was lovely. Staff, again were fab.

Thank you so much Nissi Beach, Marios, Caroline, Frank, Chris and all the staff for making it so special. We will be returning and making this our family hotel. Thanks again,
From a very happy couple,
Jorden and Sophie

Just returned from a great 7 night family holiday at NISSI BEACH RESORT, the hotel location is fantastic with its own private beach. The location is great, short taxi journey into ayia napa and a walk to most places. The hotel is clean, we stayed in an upgraded room which was excellent, standard rooms were ok. I would recommend this hotel as the service is great and hotel is definately worth the money!

We stayed on a HB basis and booked a garden view room. This is where we experienced the noise issues. It was quite late when we arrived and after being shown to our room the only thing we could hear was the horrendous racket coming from a kareoke bar across the road. We asked to be moved and this was done straight away. The second garden room we were given had an internal adjoining room door (commonly used for when bigger families need to two rooms) just opposite the bathroom. Baring in mind I can usually sleep through anything, we were abruptly woken up in the early hours by what I thought was someone in our room! It turned out a couple had just arrived and were unpacking next door. Because of this internal door you could hear absolutely everything. The deputy manager took our concerns on board and was absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately I can't remember his name. We were moved to a sea view room and offered an upgrade to full board. Too much food for us so we declined his kind offer.
Once the noise issue was rectified we had a fantastic stay. The sea view rooms are superb, with views across Nissi bay along with stunning sunsets. Nothing like a glass of vino of evening watching the sun go down! The hotel is kept incredibly clean and the gardens are incredibly impressive. Pool area more than adequate with plenty of beds, showers, toilets and changing area. The pool water was flippin freezing though. That said I would imaging that would be very welcoming in the height of summer. The sea in the bay is very calm and crystal clear. The beach did get packed though.
Expect to see a few weddings taking place at the hotel during your stay. Not a problem though. They are very well organised and didn't interfere once in our enjoyment of the resort.
If your staying on a board basis the meals are presented buffet style with different themes each night. Good variety to choose from. Nothing ran low when we dined and there was some very tasty dishes on offer.
If your a gym type person then you won't be disappointed. There's a couple treadmills and bikes and it's well equipped with free weights and machines. We had a good few games of tennis on the grass court, which was perfectly adequate.
The staff were very friendly and all in all I found the hotel was run very efficiently and was well organised.
A big big thankyou to the deputy manager who made sure our stay turned out to be perfect and it truely was.
A fantastic hotel but just be aware that some of the garden rooms can be noisy

Well to start I would say if you are getting married you couldn't pick a better venue, we considered Cyprus but never found the right venue. This would have been perfect, especially the reception venue overlooking the sea - so beautiful.

So lets get down to the nitty gritty:
- we arrived late on Sunday evening and were put in a 1st floor room, view not brilliant and what sounded like a boiler room nextdoor! The bed was also very squeaky and appeared quite old.
- we were moved the next day to the 3rd floor and the view was fantastic. Bed great - slept so well over the 10 days. Rooms a bit small, newly painted and comfortable. Nice modern bathroom. The hotel has been decorated nicely however still a bit dated. Reception were extremely helpful.
- good free wifi in lobby
- excellent food, pool bar lunch fantastic and the staff down here were lovely. Try the club sandwich (enough for 2), beer 4 euro's in all beach bars. Cocktails 5.50 in the hotel.
- quiet out and about this time of year, drinks are cheaper on the Agia Napa straight.
- the pool was cold!!!!! Very cold. One man asked where the ice was being tipped in. However the pool was beautiful, the water was so fresh.
- overall a very relaxing break, great food and a view to die for. Not so keen on the Agia Napa area, prefer Paphos but Nissi beach is lovely. The beach was nice and sandy with crystal clear waters and nice and shallow for quite a long way out. Would I come again - yes :-)
- one final comment....... When I checked out I was given the final bill while a receptionist was on the phone. A forced thank you was given and no mention of a 'did you enjoy your holiday' or 'have you had a nice time'. This I found exceptionally rude, especially when the cleaning lady and pool bar staff had been so nice on our departure.

Stayed for 3 days in October in a beach suite and was amazed by the view, the hospitality and the service of such a grand resort. Beautiful location, very clean environment (both rooms and gardens) and a wide variety of food served. Would definitely recommend it!

On the first day on check-in, we received the room no. 101, which is located directly above the bar. The music played until 11 pm and was too loud to actually sleep in that room. We were not happy about the noise and asked for a more quiet room, which we promptly receive.

The hotel has a nice garden and is located on the beautiful Nissi Beach. While on the beach you still have to pay for the parasol and chairs, you get a miniscule discount as a hotel guest. There are also snack bars called Petra and Puma on the Beach, which sell various Greek snacks like Tsatsiki or Halumi sandwiches rather on the pricy side. The quality of the food is good, not excellent, but neither bad.

5 Euros for 2 Chairs and 1 Parasol
And About 5 Euros for a sandwich.

Also there are several souvenir shops and restaurants close to the hotel, where we bought inflatable mattresses. We just booked B&B so we explored some of the restaurants close by and were not disappointed.

The hotel itself is not located directly in the center of the town. So if you wanna go to Ayia Napa you'll have to take a bus for about 3 stops. The bus stop is located on right next to the hotel.

Even tough from far the dinner buffet at the hotel looked nice, we preferred to eat out to get a taste of the local food.

We stayed here in july 2013 in a beach suite bungalow.
Good points
Weater superb
Room very spacious and clean
Gardens were very pretty
Lovely beach
Restaurant for evening meal started off hit and miss but improved as week went on
Mary the pelican was beautiful and very friendly
Bad points
Beach bars play thumping dance music from 9.30 in the morning
Party boats come into bay most afternoons playing even louder music
Lunchtime restaurant not much choice and not good quality
Bungalows are not that private because the pathway in between the suites and beach is the main walk through for the resort and anyone can sit directly outside your suite
Expensive resort
Dress code is supposed to be semi formal in the evening but people were wearing beachwear and nothing was said

Would only go back if we got a very good deal and it wasnt peak season

Room Tip: Dont be fooled into thinking the bungalows are private
