“Beautiful Nissi Bay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

We enjoyed a lovely week at the end of October 2012. The hotel is large and very well maintained. The grounds are so lovely and the gardens are lush and green. You are right on Nissi Bay beach so you don't have to walk anywhere. We alternated between pool and beach. Both were very clean and perfect for relaxing in the sun. On arriving in the hotel you are greeted with a cold drink and a warm wash cloth. (even at 3am) We were taken to our room which was made up nicely (see photo) and found a bottle of red wine and some fresh fruit. We were staying in a beach bungalow with sea view, and although our view was slightly blocked due to a giant palm tree (see photo), we enjoyed the shade of the tree later in the day and it offered a bit of extra privacy. The staff in the hotel were very helpful and friendly. Particularly Flora and Natalia. The staff work long hours and can often been seen at both breakfast and then dinner. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. We don't usually attend welcome meetings, but I am glad we attended the one at Nissi Beach. All of the staff were there to welcome you and offer their services, including the management! We were told of the services on offer, day activities, info about the spa and we were given a free cocktail and some savoury treats too. Very professionally done and a very nice touch. We ate in the hotel for breakfast every day and the choice was excellent. A lot of the guests were German and from other countries in Europe so they really made an effort to meet all taste requirements and it was nice trying different breakfast traditions. There is so much choice. We ate in the restaurant at night twice too, and the food was of high quality. On the other nights we ventured out of the resort and walked into Aiya Napa. It is a 30 minute walk, but is completely flat and a pleasant well-it walk. During the day there is also a coastal walk into Aiya Napa which takes you through Sandy Bay, another beach, all the way to the main beach. We ate in a few lovely places, which I will review separately.
Nissi Beach is very family friendly, perfect for families with young children, but also for couples too. The evening entertainment was a great mix and the cocktails were fabulous.
We will definitely go back to Nissi Beach again as we were very happy with our holiday.

Room Tip: The only reason we had to score our sleep quality down was due to being next to a family with young...

Great hotel, fantastic pool and very close to to the beach. Free beach towels which is a must and you can use them around the pool, and change them when you want. You get a daily supply of shampoo and shower gel's and clean towels everyday.
I would go back in a second if I was asked :)
A word of advice if you are getting a taxi anywhere, set your price before you get in. Also the bus is only one euro to get around the island, which is great value.

We decided to book Nissi Beach hotel for our October wedding as the venue looked to be just what we wanted. We have never looked back!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel, greeted by fresh orange juice and a face cloth, the service from the staff was five star up until the point we left.

There is not one point of the holiday which we could fault, the location, bar and restaurent staff, quality of food and the housekeeping staff were the best we have experienced.

Our wedding day is one which my husband and I can only describe as a dream come true, regardless of what review we give this hotel it will never do our big day justice!

Our 12pm wedding was held in the wedding gazebo, followed by photos in the gardens, drinks reception on the bar terrace and our wedding meal and evening reception in the Thalessa private terrace.

Each and every one of the staff involved in our wedding arrangments, ceremony, meal and evening deserve a huge well done, you all made sure our day run so smoothly, I'd never have dreamed that our wedding day would have been so unbelievably stress free!

Thank you to Marios for all of the wedding arrangments, Frank for arranging the ceremony music, Chris for being a fantastic master of ceremonies - there was never a moment where I didnt know what to do next! Domonique, Andraes and Andreas for the fantastic service during our drinks reception, wedding meal and all through our evening reception and also to the chef, for our ample amount of great tasting bbq buffet!

Finally, our wedding day would not have been what it was without all of the help from the Thomas Cook wedding coordinator - Debby - who was fantastic, and also to Harry the photographer who made sure we left with almost 1000 beautiful photographs!

We had a fantastic two week stay and a perfect wedding day - one which both myself, my husband and all of our guests have described every day since as faultless!

We could not have asked for more and will definatly be returing for an anniversary holiday.

My partner and I stayed at Nissi Beach hotel at the end of Oct beginning of Nov, We couldn't of faulted the hotel at all. A very warm welcome, a drink on arrival along with cold flannels to refresh. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially at the Bacchus Bar and Pool Bar. The hotel was very clean, plenty of loungers round pool, beautiful views. The beach was amazing! so clean and sea was beautiful, it is lovely walking through water to island. The are lots of things to do, places to eat, dispite places closing for winter. Local bus between 1 and 3 euro's we went to Aiya Napa and Portaras by bus. We want to go back soon!!! I would choose the same hotel, the only thing we would prob do is go slightly earlier when more restaurants are open.
We would highly reccommend to couples, groups and families of all ages.

Room Tip: We had a sea view room on third floor and it looked over the beautiful gardens and had a fantastic v...

My daughter stayed in one of the beach bungalows situated in the gardens of the Nissi Beach hotel. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The staff are excellent especially Chris and the manager Mario. The food was beautiful, the gardens are immaculate and the beach itself is one of the best I've ever seen. Would definately recommend!

We arrived on the 31st October for our honeymoon, booked last minute half board and were greeted by the concierge with a cold flannel and a glass of oj, after we checked in he took the luggage to our room. We were given a garden room on ground floor but wanted something higher up and as the main building was fully booked we were given a room higher up the next day and they moved our luggage for us. We arrived on Italian night and the buffet was absolutely amazing, staff so friendly and eager to help. Cocktails at the bar later that night were fantastic average about 5 euro each and it also helps just to give a little tip to the staff as they do work very hard. our first morning waking up going down for breakfast again the food was excellent very good variety then a short walk down the footpath to the amazingly breathtaking private beach. About 5 euro for beds with umbrella and very clean. Pool bars at each side and pool just up footpath with another bar so everything is within reach for comfort. The weather was 28-29 everyday apart from 1 day we went to the waterpark although it was the last before it closed for the season we went anyway and had an amazing day although water is a little cold and dont start with the lazy river as its the coldest and most of the rides dont open until about 2pm.
Bars and restaurants nearby and in Ayia napa were closed due to season ending but still a lot to choose from. Recommend any of the italian restuarants as the food is excellent and reasonably priced. Do shop about if you are wanting some drink for the rooms as the main supermarket at the end of the driveway to hotel is more expensive than others, but definately try the bakerys in Ayia napa, pizza slices are amazing. Some bars do happy hours 6-10pm and all drinks are 2.50 euro and strong enough at that.
Definately recomend Nissi Bay, we had an amazing honeymoon. Staff are brilliant, food is excellent and weather was fantastic. Not as expensive as I thought it was going to be.
We hired a buggie for the day which cost only 50 euro and got to drive around and see Ayia Napa as it is quite hilly or jump on and off the regular bus which is only 1 euro single or day ticket 3 euro. The rooms have excellent views if you get a view just beware of the lttle ants that might get in your room, if gets too much just tell hotel and they will sort.
dont bother booking excursions through the reps go by yourself on bus or go to the harbour and plenty of trips for cheap as 5 euro to farmagusta(ghost town)

We will definately go back next year already looking as we speak. Enjoy !!!

Room Tip: Before or after booking ensure you have a main building room and not a bungalow. We arrived and were...

My son and daughter in law were married here and the experience was made so wonderful by all the management and staff of the Hotel. The hairdressers were so professional and did amazing work. Everywhere looked so clean and well cared for. All the families had a wonderful time and would definately highly recommend it not only for a wedding in paradise but the holiday of a lifetime! Thank you to all of you :)
