Great hotel but there is room for some improvements. We are a large family with four children and grandparents so we booked 2 large family rooms. It was nice to see old faces at reception, George always tries his best to make us welcome. However no one took us to show our rooms and as a result we lost half our family wandering around trying to find our rooms. Reception quickly sent a search party and after a complaint they took us to our rooms. This is mandatory for a 5 star hotel. Room was clean , spacious and comfortable. We did notice the room is aging and could use some touch up. The best part of the hotel is that the rooms is close to the pool and the sea which makes it very easy for families with small children. Another plus is that there is a very good fish tavern by the beach which is very convenient and of good quality. The breakfast was good did not find any fault. Down side, the kidds club was closed for the weekend. There is very little entertainment for children. Maybe water slide by the pool would be nice or something to keep the children entertained. Also some shade cover at the pools would be good. Another down side for us was that we were charged per person as opposed to per room. As a large family the cost was above average to other 5 star hotels in Cyprus. Overall the hotel is worth it and we will be looking forward to our visit in 2013.

Room Tip: Try get a sea view, its worth it.

My wife and I have been taking a holiday at the Grecian Bay Hotel, Ayia Napa for a number of years, this usually in September. We have always found it to be an excellent hotel, satisfying all our needs. The hotel is in a quiet location, the rooms are very good and as well as having a large pool it also has its own beach, both areas are fitted with umbrellas and loungers. The other facilities are excellent. The staff and the food we have found to also be excellent, we would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed for 2 weeks on bed and breakfast basis Breakfasts very good with attentive service. Reception staff and shop staff not very friendly. Rooms far from 5 star, spent 1st night in small room in west wing overlooking back yard, managed to get moved but not really a lot better, over hotels air con unit, bins and car park. Bottle bank emptied each morning shortly after 7. Room very basic in need of good cleaning beds very hard and shower poor light bulbs not working I could go on!!! Agreed to move us and having repacked were offered room 2 doors from where we initially were - gave up

You can lie all day long in the very comfortable sunbeds enjoying the amazing sunny weather while hearing the relaxing sound of waves clashing on the sandy beach of the Grecian Bay Hotel. Even in the end of September it was up to 36° and clowds showed up only on rare occasions.

The (springed) hotel bed, however, was not as comfortable as I expected, but you can always complement your sleep at the beach :)

When feeling thirsty, you can just take a few steps upside to the very nice beach bar where you can order your drinks or snaks, and a little further away by the pool there is also a grillbar for the bigger appetite. I didn't try to order grill menues from the beach bar, but if this would work, the setup would be perfect.

Of course, if you feel to lazy to get up your sunbed, you can order everything to your place.

There is even a free ping pong table with additional game stations, tennis court and of course a wellness area. Allthough it was cooled down in the ping pong building, the table would probably be used more when placed in a nicer spot with some view to the pool or beach. I was missing a mini golf though, maybe this would fit into pond area.

And, of course, with walking just 3 minutes, you are at the beginning of a quite big area of a populated night-life.

Room Tip: Choose one with sea view do have a great view and are quieter.

A very pleasant and lovely hotel. It has the beach right in front of it so in your hotel room you will have an AMAZING view! It is quite close meaning walking distance of some very nice places. There isnt really much to say but if you are going to Ayia Napa i highly recommend this hotel.

Possibly a wee bit overpriced for what it is, but was clean, good food, staff were cool. A maze of corridors, we had to go up in an elevator then along two corridors then down 2 flights of steps!

Room was good (rather than great), bathroom good (but looking like it had been put together in a real hurry!).

We were half board and found the buffet nights to be better than the a-la-carte.
I went with 2 greeks, one of whom doesn't speak any English. Would've been nice to have a menu in Greek available to save all the pre-munch translations (menus are english - german - russian).

Quite a neat system for the towels/sunloungers - which once you've got the hang of it, works well.
Would I go back? Yes i guess so!
I'd perhaps bring a small travel iron next time as there's nothing in the rooms
