“Worst hotel ever”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2014

This hotel was disgusting! There was ants everywhere, dead cockroaches in the toilet! Pool was horrible , u couldn't see the bottom half of anyone's body as it was that dirty. It is miles away from the strip. It is in the middle of no where next to a dump! No towels, bed sheets were all stained! DO NOT STAY HERE!! Also you can't put toilet roll done the pan which the reps forgot to tell us as they were to busy trying to sell you stuff! Waited a full day for someone to come and fix the toilet!

The night we arrived, we were put into the sister hotel because the electrically in our room didn't work-that hotel was vile! So I thought the Fedra was decent. We got an upper floor room round by the smaller pool which was perfect. Didn't get towels but was cleaned and did not have to pay for loo rolls as suggested. It is quite a walk from the strip but resteraunts and bars are walking distance. There was no bar or resteraunts on site which was disappointing but the staff who were there were very helpful, including promptly phoning me an ambulance when I caught a virus. I enjoyed my stay at the fedra but can see how the lower floor apartments could have ants and the pool was dirty. Then again, this was clearly because of the boozey/sweaty people in the pool and the amount of food and alcohol they left lying around to cause ants. If you can, get an upper floor room and the smaller pool is cleaner :)

Worest hotel ever been to in my life, there was a dead cat by the pool that diddnt get cleaned up, the swimming pool was filthy and felt slimey, the toilates was all blocked, there was a big crack in the bath, our room had no hot water, we had to pay for toilate roll, the hotel did not provide towels, our room was cleaned once, there was thousands of ants in our bedroom, the hotel is very badly maintained, I would have been happy with the hotel if I paid 100£ for the week, but I paid over £500, and also don't buy anything from the reps because they are dearer than other people selling tickets,

if you feel this hotel is acceptable to live in for a week then you must have serious issues, air con was broke, staff were rude, no bar, no restaurant, shop was never open, ants crawling all over the room, cockroaches all over the place, complained and nothing happened ! pools unbelievably dirty, You want an ear infection, stomach bug go ahead!! the shower actually hurts! & bathroom looks like something from a horror movie ! miles away from the strip in the middle of nowhere! If Thomas cook or any other travel provider charge you more then £80 for the week – get a refund

Probably the worst hotel in ayia napa hands down! Book anthea, kaos, green bungalows! avoid fedra at all costs!

Room Tip: Choose lower floor rooms, Otherwise - Change hotel

Cheap,basic, clean
Again looked at the horror stories but for that price do they expect the ritz ?
It was a bit understaffed but the few there work hard, good size pool clean sheets pillows every day but I d recommend you take a blow up pillow as the ones supplied are no thicker than loo paper :)
If I d paid 500 + I d be upset but great value near enough to the strip but quiet enough to get some zzzzz s .

As stupid as it sounds I book our 18-30 holiday without checking the reviews of our hotel and I was dreading going to this hotel because of the previous reviews on it. My friend and I were trying to look at the positives thinking if it really is that bad we would just go out all night and sleep on the beach when we were sunbathing due to the mindset these reviews put us in

HOTEL
We got to the fedra after a 30 - 45 min transfer and to say we only paid 200 pound for the package it was well worth it!! The rep took us to our rooms and the first thing we did was check to see if beds were broken if there were any ants and to see if the reviews of the hotel on here matched up
However, the room wasn't 5 star but it certainly wasn't like people are making out on here, we had 4 very clean beds and a kitchen the only thing that was off putting was the bathroom which the bath was stained but you shower anyway so it wasn't a big deal to us

The staff were respectable and nice and the maid cleaned our rooms twice throughout the week, nothing went missing and on the one occasion we did get ants but that was due to us leaving food packets out but the staff sorted them out for us :)
The pool area was clean and the staff do pull items out which have drifted in when people are by the pool area such as cans and packets however, the more people arrived at the fedra the more items were floating in the pool (I think that is hardly the staffs fault!)

TRANSPORT
The walk to the strip is a good 15 minute walk but VERY easy to get to! Taxis normally charge about 10 euro max to get from the strip to the fedra and about 12 euro to get to nissi beach which you should go to as it is incredible!!

Personally I believe that for 200 pound on an 18-30 holiday the hotel was exceeding our expectations and I was so relieved and excited that it was nothing like the reviews on here! We had such a good time and are booking another holiday hopefully at the fedra again later this year as it was cheap and cheerful!
